Not too worried about it, pretty sure the return address label is a dead give-away. haha That, plus the fact that I can't keep secrets ...

My gifts are wrapped and in the "other festive container". I do want to pick up some snackies (not included in the 12 wrapped gifts). My goal is to mail Friday which is still before the mailing due date....

Got very cold here last night! BRRRRRR! How many months until Spring???

A lot of swappers don't include their return address on the package (putting the recipients address as the "to" and "from"). I do think I know who I got my package from since the post offices date stamp includes their zip code....... As far as tracking the package you send you have your delivery confirmation number and if the package gets "lost" by the PO it still goes to the correct address....

LOL...

Just so you all understand why the date to open is a "few" weeks away. The date allows for all to receive their packages. Some are sending to/from Canada and sometimes those packages take a bit longer. Also, I won't know if we have any flakers until after November 25th. If there are any then time is needed to do rush packages flaker's Secret Elf assignment.

So sorry ....

I took my package to the post office yesterday. I had it all neatly packed into a box that I had onhand. Well.....when the postmaster weighed it and told me how much it was to ship...........she suggested that we pack it into a flat rate box. I'm sure glad that there wasn't any crew from World's Funniest Video's around. She was a hoot! She "built a box" and started packing all of the gifts and the gift bag into the flat rate box.......over, and over, and over again. They had to call for help because the people were lining up to get stamps and mail their packages. OMGosh, I wanted to crawl under a rock while this cute little lady was packing and repacking this box.
FINALLY after a zillion tries.............SHE DID IT!!! Then there was a matter of getting the box to stay closed.
Please..............when you get this box, excuse all the postage tape. Good thing it didn't go by weight because I'm sure the tape alone added 5 pounds!! Also.......please refrigerate Box #11 until the day you open it. It should be ok, but refrigerating it will assure it.

Merry Christmas~~~Ho Ho Ho

What a sweet lady! I have to sit and bite my tongue sometimes when I'm standing in line, and see someone mail something in a box that would easily fit into a Flat Rate box for half the price, and the mail person doesn't even say a thing. Okay, I confess, I don't actually bite my tongue most of the time, I butt in and suggest it. (Embarrasses the heck out of DD. LOL) But, still ...! It just irks the heck out of me when I see money being wasted like that.

Hi everyone!

Fun day today wrapping all my elf gifts!!! Had the house to myself...I spread everything out in the kitchen and had Christmas music playing! Definitely got me in the holiday mood even if the weather isn't cooperating! It was 78 here today. Hard to be Ho Ho Ho when you're Hot Hot Hot!

Hope everyone is doing well!!!

I agree about a post office worker not helping a customer. I live in a very small Village (826) and have been through many workers in the 18 years I've been here. Some help out and some don't! Annoying to say the least! A lot of times I will try to print postage at home just to save me a buck and not have to deal with our local worker.

Hi Dezre,

I just want to let you know that I received a package from you today. I opened the box and found an amazingly wrapped box, it is so pretty. I also got the Penguin (Cute) and your card, which I was told NOT to open lol. So I guess I have to wait till the 18th to peek even at the card, lol. I am so excited and can't wait till to opening begins.
Thank you so much!

I'm in the middle of a lovely three-day weekend myself! It is week needed and deserved because my kiddos at school have been driving me crazy! I actually just went on a job interview at a public school for a reading teacher position which would be amazing. The second interviews will be next week, so I'm hoping to have some good news soon.

Have a great weekend and for those of you who have Monday off, enjoy!
I received your fun decorated box today!!! Can't wait to open up all the goodies!!!!!!!

Thanks!!

I got mail....actually a very large box!!! The dog was more excited than me....she has inspected and licked all the wrappings....I tried to sneak the presents into the big red bag that was included (how cute!!)....but she had to look them all over. Now I have to wait. Did I mention I still shake my presents??? This may not be good. I will try to be good....maybe if I put the bag in the closet I'll forgot for awhile.

And I hear there is a Secret Elf box leaving tomorrow for someone special. Yep, the dog licked all those gifts as well. Oh well, what's life without a little slobber?

I'll be doing Thanksgiving with me and the dog...the rest of the family is busy in another city and with the grandmas (who don't travel well). I love to cook! So we are having stuffing (home made where you toast the bread and cube it and make your own stuffing), candied yams, mash potatoes and gravy, black olives and store bought pumpkin pie (I don't make pies). Yeah, I might do a turkey (prefer the other goodies though!). Wishing everyone an abundance of blessings this holiday week! Happy Turkey day!!!!

Isn't this supposed to be a SECRET SISTER swap? Seems like a lot of you know who your package came from (LOL)!

My package is now sealed and ready to run over to the post office.

I can understand that for some it takes longer to receive than others BUT I've been looking at my box for a while now and opening isn't for several more weeks! Not sure if I CAN hold out! Took pictures this morning. Is it too early to post those?

BTW I make my stuffing with fresh buns (not toasted bread) and I LOVE it! Lots of butter and celery and onions in it, too. My husband and I will have our dinner Wednesday. I work retail and work 2-11 on Thursday and 1-10 on Friday and am off Wednesday so Wednesday it is.....

I can understand that for some it takes longer to receive than others BUT I've been looking at my box for a while now and opening isn't for several more weeks! Not sure if I CAN hold out! Took pictures this morning. Is it too early to post those?

If the return address label has the name on it, of course, people will know their SS.

NO pics yet. December 18. You can post before you open and after you open, what you received for items 12 -1 and any additional goodies.

FYI, I have hosted many SS swaps and it has taken up to three weeks (actually more) for packages, when sent on time, to arrive on our Canadian friends doorsteps. Also I won't know for sure until next week if there are any flakers. If there is one, I angel that spot and need a few days to get it all together to send. If there is more than one, then I will be looking for angels and December 18 allows for their packages to be sent, too.

Oh gosh I hope to God there are no "flaker's" here...I know emergencies can happen but I would think if I were in that predicament I would do something extra special with a gift certificate or something!!! After all it's not rocket science....we are all addicted to Scrapbook items right?

I want to make one more run to my favorite LSS Absolutely Everything--they are having a super sale this weekend and we never know what it is until tonight (Friday's they post on line with their newsletter)...so I want to make sure my Elfie SS gets lotsa goodies! My package will be postal on Monday!
