I'm not sure how the taxes work for the US, but in Canada there is no S&H or GST charged on the kit, only PST.

congratulations on joining "the family"!

I'd also recommend the Basic Gray and Basic Brown ink pads if you like colouring-book images. Sometimes I find the Basic Black too harsh, and wither of those 2 neutrals can soften it up beautifully!...

I think that depends on where you live. For Canadians, there is only PST applicable on the Starter Kits, not GST or S&H.
