Stampin' Up! has clear boxes to store wheels in. I don't know that you could hang them on your wall, but you would be able to see them easier and you could store them by holiday, season, etc.

I've never tried to color over the black, but I would either use markers to ink up the stamp to begin with (that way everything would be the color you want when you stamp it) OR stamp the hat again...
