No, kitchen came with the house, so they are standard 36" and since he doesn't do the cooking, they wouldn't be custom anyway. I'm leaning toward 36" because I do often craft at the kitchen counter...

Like these ideas too! I have managed to scrounge a free drafting table. It is 30" deep and 4' long. I can adjust the height. It sounds perfect but even if it's not, I will at least have a better idea...
