There is no difference except for the colors....

There is no difference except for the colors. Liquid Pearls are the older line with pastel colors. Ranger is going to move more with Dimensional colors and sounds like they are gonna work on...

The basic handle tool is the same for both the Felt Ink Applicator(to use with Alcohol Inks) and the Foam Applicator(to use with Distress Inks).

Felt = Alcohol Inks and more of a pouncing...

You can also color brads to match with your inks. Color staples, paper clips, flathead thumb tacks, wooden knobs...just test it out and see if the ink will adhere to the surface.

If you Liquid Pearls was sent in freezing weather, it will freeze. Ranger is totally great about replacing it and they know this happens. Just call Ranger to arrange for a replacement.
