I have the 2 1/2 inch size and LOVE it for cutting word dies and other small dies. I cut strips of cardstock to 2 1/2" x 11 in colors I use a lot, run them through the Xyron then keep them on hand....

I don't have them, but the Occasions catalog, pg 11, shows the stamps full size & lists framelits "largest image 2-1/4 x 2 1/2" if you have that catty you can measure other images.

I think a 'self-healing' mat would hinder your cuts. You need to cut against a hard surface: acrylic cutting pads or metal cutting pad. The self healing mats are a softer surface. I wouldn't bother....
