I use a thin line to Tombow mono-multi glue or 1/4" scor tape to hold my envelopes together.

When I'm ready to use the envelope, I use a glue stick to seal it shut.

Like Rachelrose, I cut the image(s) it recognizes then rescan the others. If I still have problems with it recognizing the image, I either give up or stamp another image...
