I noticed that they dropped the term "clear mount". Now all the rubber stamps are "rubber" with either "wood blocks included" or "clear blocks suggested". I like this phrasing much better!

I hadn't realized they were open at the top until after I had bought lots of sets. I just cut around the "bumpy" edges, as if the top was also sealed shut (which I had always assumed they were).
