As a disclaimer, I am on the MFT Design Team, but I am no stranger to card stock weights and it's definitely not like Georgia Pacific. I actually had a pack of that (I use it to print on sometimes)...

The MFT card stock is really nice. It is 100 lb and very sturdy. The white does have a different texture and feel than the rest of the card stock. I do use it for card bases and layering.
