If you want triangles with a small base and two equal longer sides, cut a rectangle, measure a shorter side and mark the halfway mark at the top and cut each side to that point.

Jan, that depends on what shape triangle you want. I just cut 1 inch squares and cut them in half diagonally. Easy-peasy. If you want other shapes, you could cut rectangles and do the same.
