Depends on the type. Some of the little kid "cheapie" ones are water soluble and they'll wash right off in the tub of with a wash cloth. Others take some time to wear off, like other posters...

ABSOLUTELY!! Positive reinforcement is the way to go with kids. We have always found that praising our two DD's for the good stuff works wonders. They thrive on the praise and get very excited...

He's adorable!!! Looks like a "Herman" to me...don't know why...that's what struck me. We have a yellow lab and he was definitely trouble when we got him. I think he was harder than a newborn baby...
