v1 is the very first version, v2 is the second version, and from what I have read, the v2 is better with shadows and such, I haven't done extensive research, and in fact have never even touched one....

it depends on if it's v1 or v2. The v2 does the multiple cuts and bigger letters. I still think a v1 is okay because you can still cut multiples, you just have to fool with it more - but still better...
