Good tip! I noticed the same thing with m&m's, though there weren't a lot of damaged shells, they definitely looked mouse-bitten in the bags.

As I recall, someone said those bags are 2" wide rather than 1" wide and that they work for oreo's and mint patties but not so well for m&m's, especially if you want the stacked look. I may be wrong...
