If you want to "quickly burnish" and there isn't dimension on the card (heck I have done it when there is dimension and it only flattens it a little) put the card, flat, through a manual diecutting...

the only time I have had to tape slip off the wheel is when I have not used the internal black locking piece on the right wheel. I have also manually tightened the tape after inserting it in the slot...

Think I read there was a bad batch of tape a while ago. However, I would definitely burnish or depending on depth of the card send it through a die cutting machine (Cuttlebug) with just the plates...
