I only have experience with Inque Boutique stamps and they are unmounted rubber without any foam. The manufacturer provides a foam mat for stamping. Maybe you can try one stamp without the foam on...

Sam's Club has a stack of paper for $20 that would be great for envelopes. And Coluzzle makes an easy envelope template. The only problem is, it is not a standard size but close to A2.

This is a great tip. I hate selling the rubber mat for the nesting dies. It comes in a 12" square sheet that retails for $18. I cut it up into four sections and sell it by the square for $5.

Embossing Spellbinder's Nesting dies

You need a rubber mat from Spellbinders. Place your die face up, then the paper, and last the rubber mat and whatever plate system you are using. It helps if the paper is heavy cardstock otherwise...

I just got the Pazzles Inspiration and I have only used it one time to cut out the Six Flags logo. And I never use the Fastenator because I can't line up the staples perfectly in opposite corners...
