Default Stash Busters - October 2013 Week 4

If you are anything like me, you have tons of older product stashed away in corners of your scrapping area, gathering cobwebs while you concentrate on newer items. Wouldn't it be nice to bust it out and use it up instead of storing it? Well, Stash Busters to the rescue! I am challenging you to use up certain items from your stash and then link your completed layout here so we can all get excited over it! I'll post a new list each Thursday this month (except the 31st), and you have until the last day of the month to scrap your layouts using the products. You can play any of the challenges at any time, but if you complete all four layouts by the 31st, you will get an honorable mention for the month! Sound fun? Let's get started.

Since this is our final challenge this month, I'm mixing it up by giving you two options from which to chose:

Option 1
2 Patterned papers that are older than one year
 Felt or fabric
 3 Buttons
 1 Rub-on

Option 2
Find a layout that you completed at least a year previously but never put pictures on, and get some pictures printed and onto the layout!

You can use additional products, but you must use at least one of each of the items listed. If you don't have an item in your stash, please don't rush out and buy it! Just substitute a similar item from your stash. When posting in the gallery, please use keyword STASH13Oct4, include a description of how you used each item, and link back to this post. Happy hunting!

My sample page: Grateful

When I do a paper page, I don't usually leave the photos for last, so if I get to do this one, I'll be digging out items for option 1. I have some cool felt pieces that would be perfect...IF I can find them! lol

So, are you back from the retreat? Hope it was fun!

Wendy, I have a stack of pages from when I used to either host or attend scrapbooking workshops, and we would create a layout and then go home and put pictures on it. Unfortunately, I rarely got around to that second step, so I was really grateful to find a use for this layout I designed several years ago! Thanks for asking about the retreat. It went really well, and I am now starting to catch up on all the stuff I neglected while in the throes of planning - like housework, scrapbooking, and sleep.

You known, now that my brain is running thru my stash, I think I have some felt pieces too!! And here I thought I would have to substitute! Like Wendy, I will have to hunt them down with hopes I did not gift them to my DIL.... It will be a Christmas page but I'm sure to have Christmas pictures left.

I have plenty of fabric - could find some felt as well. The patterned papers and buttons are not problem either. It's the rub-ons I struggle with, but I'm sure I still have some.

I'm back from making two trips to MSU (an 8 hour drive each way)~ and wanted to get these pages done! I combined this challenge & the KISS challenge here
We had a busy weekend but fun and great to have our daughter home for a couple of days!

Talking Yay!

I actually got some scrap time this evening and got my Oct Scraplift done while also using this challenge! I had to dig but found some "felt Ric Rac" ... no tellin' how long that's been in my stash, LOL! Very fun to get out some little used stuff ... esp the Rub Ons. I need to add those more often.

Here you go, I just can never resist a challenge.........

Walk on the Stream Side

Since I have been crafting with my Cricut most of my embellishments are of the old variety....... like those felt pieces, I couldn't believe they were from 2002 but thats what the package says!! And the style looks it. The rub ons are from 2007. It feels good using up that stash!
