If you are anything like me, you have tons of older product stashed away in corners of your scrapping area, gathering cobwebs while you concentrate on newer items. Wouldn't it be nice to bust it out and use it up instead of storing it? Well, Stash Busters to the rescue! I am challenging you to use up certain items from your stash and then link your completed layout here so we can all get excited over it! I'll post a new list each Thursday this month (except the 31st), and you have until the last day of the month to scrap your layouts using the products. You can play any of the challenges at any time, but if you complete all four layouts by the 31st, you will get an honorable mention for the month! Sound fun? Let's get started.
Please use:
2 patterned papers that are older than one year
 Picture or letter stickers
 Wire or metal
 Vellum
You can use additional products, but you must use at least one of each of the items listed. When posting in the gallery, please use keyword STASH13Oct1 , include a description of how you used each item, and link back to this post. Happy hunting!
Found wire, ( and here I thought I had gotten rid of it all!!) I have tons of vellum, and thankfully I have some letter stickers but not much more than that, unless it is a chipboard sticker! Old paper is NO problem!
And here's my sample page! Even though I completed my page early, I actually am playing along with all you gals since I set up my list before I scrapped, and then I challenged myself to find what was on the list. Lots of fun delving into older products and challenging myself to make them look fresh. Hopefully I succeeded!
And folks, I want details whenever anyone posts a page. So we can all properly laugh about some of the things that have been in our stash for years as well as congratulate each other for using our stash!

Beth, you are so funny! I actually looked at the copyright dates on all my products, and I have had some stuff for a very long time. The CM quote sticker:2007, the patterned papers:2004, the stone stickers:2003, and to top it all off, the vellum:2001! I'm working on another layout for this challenge, and the products I'm using seem positively new in comparison. LOL.
Very fun to dig into my stash and use up some stuff on my pages. I haven't used vellum for ages, but it made some great glassware for my title. I was having problems working metal into my pages, so I just went with eyelets (one of my larger stashes!). The science part of my title is made with letter stickers--I have no idea how old they are, years and years. Finally my patterned paper is from CTMH. I'm not sure when this came out since I don't keep old catalogs for too long, but it's from before 2012.
Great job, Beth! I left you some love in the gallery. BTW, the You Rock patterned paper is from Spring 2010. I still have some left that I need to use up . . . hmm, maybe next challenge!
WooHoo! I'm playing! I've got stuff from WAY back (anybody ever buy anything from Keeping Memories Alive?)...I'll plan on using some of their old cardstock or tags! I know I have metal eyelets, do they count? I just used vellum on one of my last layouts...hadn't used it in years either! I shouldn't have a problem finding picture or letter stickers, should be pretty funny using those! I started scrapping so long ago I know I still have some 'retro' stash in my old sticker binder! HA~
Never heard of 'em! But I'm glad you're finding ways to use some of their goodies!
I used up all my musical note brads! Yea!! I still have lots of snowflake brads left (mostly blue ones so I was really excited to use a few of them on this page!). I have'nt used wire in a LONG time...still have a full box of colored spools! I'm still planning on doing a layout using my old KMA paper...I think its from the late 90's or very early 2000's...yikes!
Here is my page for the Stash buster! I also used flowers that have been in my stash for awhile! Also used the lace that is in a drawer with a whole bunch of lace for card making and crafting. So used some of that stash too!

My problem was the letter stickers, but I found some stuffed in the drawer were the box of wire was; not many on there so I improvised. I have all stuff that is ancient. I used all the requirements. I'm please with myself for making those flowers - vellum and wire.
