Splitcoaststampers.com - the world's #1 papercrafting community
You're currently viewing Splitcoaststampers as a GUEST. We pride ourselves on being great hosts, but guests have limited access to some of our incredible artwork, our lively forums and other super cool features of the site! You can join our incredible papercrafting community at NO COST. So what are you waiting for?
We have a guest hostess of sorts: jen70! This week's SBTC and Jen's weekly LSC have teamed up! Kewl right? ENJOY And don't forget to check out LSC64. Hope you enjoyed a bit of teasing!
You don't need the hostess set to make a fashion statement on your scrapbook pages. This week our theme is fun and fabulous with the main image being something you can wear. Let's leave lots of comments on the creations... and for fun, let's leave smilies for the pages with creative sentiments to match the image or for using clothing on a page!
Don't have anything to wear??? Stamp on fabric and add it to the page in the shape of clothing, hats, scarves, hairbows...whatever! Just get creative.
Please put SBTC19 in the keyword box when uploading!
Limit: anything you can wear
Stamps: images of things that you can wear (sentiments and BGs optional)
Cardstock and ink: any
Embellishments: any; Bonus for using clothing as an embellishment
If you are new to the challenges, please feel free to do this one or ANY of the challenges at any time. There is no time limit. They are not races to see who can do one first, nor are they contests of any sort. All the challenges are simply to provide inspiration and to get us scrampin (scrappin/stampin)!
Does this mean I have permission to cut up the ugly dress with parrots all over it and tell DH it was for my art? hehehe
Oh, I think that's exactly what it means! Wouldn't it make a beautiful back ground? and you could cut out some of the parrots to use for embellishments.

Yes, that's exactly what it means We just threw out one of DH's riding jerseys. I've been wanting to scrap his colorful (read ugly) jerseys. So this will be perfect.

Are we supposed to do a page ABOUT fashion or a piece of clothing, or are we supposed to actually USE clothing? Or both?
I think it's both or either. And I think Karyn really doesn't want to see more photos of DD with that dress on! I think this might be a chance for that one last Hoorah! for the dress.
Last year I made my girls dresses that they wore to their schools Winter Dance. I used some of the left over fabric for the background. I used it to cover the cardstock and then scrapped photos of them in their dresses. I think I will do something like that again for the challenge since I'm reworking one of the dresses and have new scraps to scrap.
wow this is a great theme - I could to do a graduation page for my Dad's book using the grad hat; have It's a girl thing with the shoes or purses; have some flip-flops and those work for several pages; have some little booties for a baby page; oh and sunglasses there's a fashion statement! now I just need some time to work on them, but not today going to play with Katie and youngest DD.
Thanks Tracy for all your time coming up with these challenges.
Hugs..

I did this theme, too, but went back all the way to 1999 to scrap an old 8x10 photo that has been sitting around waiting to be loved! I was tempted to add some hair clips and beads on the layout, but didn't know where to put them or how thick they would be in my album. Okay, that sounds like a cop out!! Anyway, here is my two pager for this theme challenge
HA, just noticed, that as I usually do, I photographed these backwards! They should be flip flopped, so that the purple strips are next to each other and the buttons are on the binding side. Oh well, no difference, eh?!

Oh, Mary! You really should take the photo over again. How could you do that? It looks so, so, so, so, CUTE! We would never know if you hadn't told us and I don't think it makes any difference at all.
