OPEN ....4x6 Scrapbook Blocks....Due June 30.....Group & PAT
So, we've all seen the pocket page albums where there's a pocket for 4x6 photos both horizontally and vertically, right? So for those of us who say "I just can't seem to finish an album" or just need a quick album gift. How about this...on those pages, most of the pockets you place 4x6 photos, but in some of the pockets, let's add a journal spot, a title and a decorated piece of artwork (stamped quote, swirls, die cut, etc). So all you need to do when you get these is add 3 4x6 photos,journal and presto you're page is complete!!!
Of course you can always use as full page embellishments as well!
This swap is to fill those 4x6 pockets.
There are 2 options for this one
(Option 1) 3 +1 Swap ( 3 to be swapped + 1 for hostess)
Each spot will contain 4 sets of (3) 4x6 blocks...
1 block will have title
1 block will have decoration and/or journal
1 block will have decoration i.e. theme
(Option 2) PAT (Pick a Theme) you decide what you'd like back and others in your group make sets based on your chosen theme
They can be horizontal or vertical or a combination of both. Each piece should be on a cardstock base with at least two layers and one embellishment.
Due Date: May 30
Sign up for as many groups and spots as you like, but each spot should be different.
Please package each set separately and be sure to include your name and SCS name and which group. Don't forget your return address label and postage!

Ok So I just jumped over to the scrap booking side of things... and want to join this swap, but first need to have perfect clarification.... Ok So if I join the pick a theme, and choose like girly theme... I make 12 pieces of 4X6 pages.... 4 of them are the same with spot for picture, 4 of them are same with a theme picture or embellishment, and 4 of them are the same with words or quotes?
and Libby my package will just have a quick one hour mail trip from my house in Buffalo to you in Rochester

Nope, PAT means that each person in the group names the theme they want for their border and the others in the group give them the themed set that they want, so if you did a PAT spot you would make a total of 3 sets each a different theme of the persons choosing......
The generic group you make a total of 4 of the same sets any theme you'd like!!
This looks like fun, Libby! I'd like to join, please. May I have a spot in the general theme and a spot in group 2, please? I'll have to think about my theme for the PAT group. I'll post it tomorrow! Hoping for some inspirational dreams tonight! lol

Thanks for adding me! I think I'm going to go with New York City for my theme in group 1. We visit often and I've got oodles of photos to scrap, so anything is fine. We usually drive up from here, so even a "Road trip to NYC" theme would be cool

Hi Libby. I'll take the last spot in group one for now. I'm hopelessly behind in scrapping my cruises so I'd like that to be my theme. Anything related to cruising will work - the ship, food, drinks, tours, shows, the spa, tropical beaches.

Ohh I am excited our group is full... and I have some perfect ideas for everyone's... have a super road trip stamp set and I heart NY... and I think i will do fancy cruise drinks...
I would like one spot in general and one in PAT - Walking (we are walking a 10 km in all 50 states so have tons of walking pictures) I might sign up for another PAT, but will wait and see how these go first.

Hi everyone. I'm excited about this swap. I've never done one like this before. I do have a question though. Libby, are the groups final at this point or might they be changed around up until signups are closed? Just wondering if I should start working on the themes or hold off a bit.

Good morning, I would like to join but just a little lost . So, what size re the pages? I looked at examples but still seem confused. Are these supposed to b like a mat for 4x6 pics and just decorate so they fit on a 12x12 lo?

Yep you have the idea...... you get 3- 4x6 blocks and all you need for a 12x12 page is 3 -4x6 photos= (6- 4x6's fill a page ) to make a page...... if you scrap with lots of photos (guilt ) they can also be used to make a 2 page layout
I keep coming back to this swap. My boss, who is also a scrapper, picked up some of those 12 x 12 4X6 photo sleeve protectors, didn't like them so she asked if I wanted them. Of course the hoarder that I am w/ craft supplies I said yes. Thinking this will be a good swap to start creating pages to using those sleeves.
So I'll take a General Spot and in Group 2 of the PAT I'll take a spot for Baby Boy. May be back to add Baby Girl in the PAT swap if Group 3 starts to fill up.
Going to stick my neck out and try this. One general, one group 3 cats and dogs, and one group 4 New York Choir tour (they (my son is going) are seeing Ground Zero and Wicked as well as singing while they are there). Hope I can figure this out
