Complete ~ (MySweetSix old swap) Borders ~ ROUND 5 ~ Due Feb 1st
This is MySweetSix swap that I'm taking Hostess duties over...
I know many of you don't like borders, but I find myself using them more and more. So my idea is just borders. If you have a 2010-2011 SU! catalog, check out pages 71, 120, 126, 137 and 159. These are the examples I'm thinking of. There are many inspirational photos in this catalog that will get you started, see page 33, 46, 100, 113, 148, 214 etc.
*** This round will be 4+1, since you can make 3 borders out of a 12x12 sheet... This way you can make 6 borders, send me 5 (4+1) and you keep one for yourself!!! *** the +1 is going to Natalie
Details: 4+1 (one for hostess) 3 to 4" x 12" borders.
These borders should include two layers of paper (cardstock/patterned paper or Cardstock/cardstock), some sort of technique (stamping, die cut, journal tag, embossing, sewing, etc.) and at least one embellishment. They can be either horizontal or vertical it's up to you.
This will be a running list so there won't be specific categories, but if you'd like to let me know what you're submitting that will help others request a theme if wanted.
Here are some samples from the previous rounds...

And in case anyone is wondering, the +1's are still going to Natalie... I'm just taking care of editing the thread, keeping it bumped and swapping everything out...
In case the mods are still giving you trouble, I definetely still want to be in this swap.
Leah
They're not giving me any trouble... I just didn't know the SCS policy... And it makes sense... I shouldn't assume that everyone wants to continue in this swap without asking them... Some people may have signed up just because Natalie was the hostess... And if they don't want to swap with me, that's ok... We'll have fun without them...
Doesn't everyone have new Christmas toys to make borders with? I know I did. Plus, I had Christmas paper out and made a swap with that. These come together quick!

Hi ladies...I'm trying to find my groove...I think I must have wrapped it up and given it away or packed it up and up it in my attic over the holidays. ARG!!!

Sounds like something I would do... I made Christmas cards a couple years ago, put them in a safe spot until I needed them, and haven't seen them since...
I bought cute paper plates and napkins for our Christmas breakfast, I found them in the closet this morning! Good thing they were just snowmen, the kids are going to use them now. I still haven't found one gift.
We moved last Dec (that's Dec, 2010) and I got my sister a pretty sweater the day after Thanksgiving. It took me until this Dec to find it, and I knew it was missing and kept looking for it. Sigh. I remembered to go shopping for clearance stuff at SU and JoAnns today.

I have to dig around my Christmas paper to see if I have enough. I have some poinsetta primas that I want to use. I think I gave most of my Christmas paper to my sister for Daisy scouts, oh well, I am going to dig around.
