I've been thinking of this one for awhile and I hope I explain it easy enough. So, we've all seen the pocket page albums where there's a pocket for 4x6 photos both horizontally and vertically, right? So for those of us who say "I just can't seem to finish an album" or just need a quick album gift. How about this...on those pages, most of the pockets you place 4x6 photos, but in some of the pockets, let's add a journal spot, a title and a decorated piece of artwork (stamped quote, swirls, die cut, etc). SCROLL DOWN TO POST #30 AND POST #78 FOR SAMPLES AND POST#31 FOR SAMPLE OF WHAT A FINISHED PAGE WOULD LOOK LIKE
Of course you can always use as full page embellishments as well!
This swap is to fill those 4x6 pockets. Each spot will include:
1 Title; 1 Journal spot and 1 "artwork" all placed on 4x6 bases (a total of three 4x6 bases per spot).
They can be horizontal or vertical or a combination of both. Each piece should be on a cardstock base with at least two layers and one embellishment.
Quantity: 3+1
Due Date: February 15th
Sign up for as many groups and spots as you like, but each spot should be different.
Please package each set separately and be sure to include your name and SCS name and which group. Don't forget your return address label and postage!

Remember all items must fit on a 4x6 base - nothing should extend beyond the size since we want them to fit into one of these pockets - but you can also use them on a traditional scrapbook page as page embellishments.
I've seen these in a Creative Memories catalog but I'm sure they are coming around elsewhere too.
It's so good to check things off the "To Do" list. Of course there's still six things I need to get done before Christmas but the list is getting smaller
Did some Christmas shopping today and visited Hobby Lobby for the first time. A store just opened up near us. Woo Hoo! That was a lot of fun! I was really good though. I even surprised myself.
I am so looking forward to spending more time and money in there after the holidays.
I don't know if they've always been out there, but I'm seeing these 4x6 pocket pages all over the place now. There's plenty of time to complete this swap...join now!
I just finished making 3 dozen cake pops for a cookie/dessert exchange tomorrow after work. I'm so looking forward to it. We are going to have so much fun!
I know these will make pages go must faster. Perfect for those occassions where there are tons of photos but you don't necessarily need to tell the whole story on every page.
Hi Ducki, Let me have DD take a photo of a set that I'm just finishing. Sometimes words don't describe it enough so I'm not surprised that your are unclear.
Gotcha Terria.
today is the first day of my two weeks off. I've got two doctor appts and then shopping! I only have one thing left for each of my kids but it'll be easy to finish. Then the fun part...wrapping. I'm being sarcastic because believe it or not, I'm the worst wrapper. Everyone is always surprised, but my presents always come out bumpy or crooked or something
Barb: Just shrink a regular page down to 4x6 size, hahaha...
Seriously though, that's about it. You are making a mini-scrapbook page of 4x6, with a title, a journal box, and something to embellish (page candy).
I was thinking it would then be the side page to put in opposite a pic in one of those little albums.

Susan I think what she is referring to is the 12X12 sheet protectors that have only 4x6 pockets. There are 5 of them on a page. They are so you can add extra pics in an album of a place you went or an event, instead of, or in addition to a 12X12 scrap layout. I was also reading it as you had to make 3 for each spot. 1 for journaling, 1 for an accent, and 1 for a title. Then after watching Terria's video...I'm not sure about that eiother! yep, I'm still confused!
Sorry guys, I've been out shopping most of th day and then DS3 was on th computer until very recently. OK. Here's the deal; ducki you're right in saying there are 3 pieces of 4x6; one for a title; one for journaling and one just some art work/embellishment/ etc. these pieces must coordinate for a page. The pages are those 12x12 sized sheet protectors that have the pockets ready to slide in 4x6 photos (or these designs). The idea is that you can have three 4x6 photos and 3 of these designs to complete an easy page. You could also just use these pieces to complete a regular scrapbook page. I have been making some sets but my stupid camera drained my battery. I'll run to the store to get some and post some photos. The 4x6 "card" will not have all three pieces on them - so they are NOT like mini scrapbook pages - just page embellishments. I hope that helps a little; I'll definitely post some photos before very soon.

Is that what you had in mind too, Dorlene?
Yes, as far as putting it opposite a pic in one one of those page protector albums; but no as far as all three elements on one 4x6 sheet.
The photos will clear it up.
Thanks for posting all the questions. It's good to get it clear before everyone starts creating.
I knew it was going to be hard to put into words, I'm glad I finally posted a photo. I think it clears things up but if anyone is still unsure, let me know.
The challenge is to do these in a 4x6 size without anything spilling over. It's a challenge for me anyhow .

That helps a lot! Thanks!! I never saw the page protectors like that though. The ones I saw had 3 horizontal spots on the left side and 2 verticle spots on the right side. They only held 5 4X6 total. At least I know what you are looking for now, and all should be horizontal correct? There are too many irons in the fire right now but I definately have your swap earmarked.
Ducki,
I was at Hobby Lobby last week and they were either all horizontal or all vertical. Before that, I only saw them combined too. I think we can probably find them all kinds of ways if we really searched. It would be nice to have your set be all of one way but your choice of which direction you want to go. I don't know about you, but most of my photos seems to be landscape (horizontal), so that may be a more popular orientation.
I plan On horizontal for all my pieces. I was thinking you could use them in regular albums too. I think I gave all my divided page protectors away because I never used them. Oh well
