Good Morning!! Susan, love your penqguins and cardinals!! Am looking forward to finishing up a few more swaps so I can get lost working on these!! My preschoolers are going to love their finished book for sure!!
Yes Sorry! I have not sent out final details yet. We were suppose to move into our new house a few weeks ago! But the sellers are in Canada, and it keeps getting pushed back! We were suppose to be moving TODAY! But yet again we wait!
I will send you my address. And then final details this week!
was driving home from vacation..thinking of one more swap to complete and theni can turn my attention to this....was thinking....the M&M guys...if I print in bold and maybe size 20 1 3/4" and then i punch out the circle around the number...that would be cute...and i wouldn't have to amke all the little "labels"....its a thought i'm giong to try and see how it looks....
i wouldn't even think of hand writing my sizes...i tend to get sloppy with the handwriting and then i'm never satisfied.....printing is my only option...and believe me everyone will be happier ---
okay--just so that other's know that another section is open---put me down in catagory 5 for: geisha girl....maybe others will join and we can fill up another one....
Alright ladies. Things FINALLY fell into place on our new house... suppose to happen a month ago!! YIKES> I will be PM'ing Final details Monday latest with my new address and mailing instructions. If you need it sooner feel free to hit me up!!!
I came up with idea---decided to share here....I was going to make a cute little "album" for my punch art...but i decided to make this book that I can use on a regular basis...
i told my ds that next time i'm going to office max---i will get some heavy cardstock paper---multicolored--usually I use pastel---and then have them put a "cover" on it had have it bound using the rubicoil binding machine---it cost a few dollars--and I figure If i use 40 pages with the medium coil...i can then mount both of the swap "pages" on one sheet...and it can be used for my reference with all the other punch art I do...I can just punch out my pieces and then mount them on a 5x5 along with a sample...
I made some really cute "lemons" with punch art for a lemon recipe card I did...and i used the small 3/4 inch circle of some dark purple/blue for some "blueberries' it looked really cute....
off to clean up some of my craft room....it really really needs it.
Well I finally had gotten 2 done---the BBQ and Frankie...only have 4 more to go ---I think I'll be able to get one or 2 done this week...then I'll wait until August to finish up---really really enjoying this swap...
I'm close to done with the punch art and it's time to start creating the "how to" pages to go along with it.
I'm also reconsidering if the purses are enough for this little book. I made them but I'm not as thrilled with them as I am with my other items.
Marilyn---I had been doing both the punch art along with the "how-to" but sometimes it seems so much easier than it looks---in getting it down on paper ....
I have gotten the geisha pages done as well. they were simple but very cute..(at least i think so LOL) ..planning on doing the banana split and then i'll be doing other crafts for a little while---I know that my pges for the M&M's will take alot of work...and the one with the lady in the garden..still pondering on that one as well...
also have gotten my other punch arts to put in the book as well--my elf/leprechaun, Walle and EVE, polar bears oh andi can't forget my fruit: lemons and oranges and limes -OH MY....
for my other punch art..just going tomake a page with the "shapes" along with measurements...i.e. 1" circle....and then the completed art....simple and sweet but very neat....
Just checking in ladies... I got internet just now!!! All day with comcast. phew.
I will send out mailing deets in the morning!!! So I do not have to send a follow up message about my message tonight... since I am exhausted... and will prolly mess up something!!!
Rachel--i had gotten the pm....as for "messing up" I guess i'll find out once i mail my package
Okay I'm so proud of myself---i had gotten frankie, bbq, geisha and banana split done...now working on M&M and then the final one would be Lady In Garden...unless i find something else....
I'm sending it in a med. flat rate box as it is---might as well get my $ worth right? and make it a nice filled box...
off to get some chores done--have a great day ladies...
OH and I"M putting in a plug for my new swap for the Ronald McDonals house --its in my signature line...just click and it will take you there
Have gotten the M&M guys done...now its off to work in the garden with "lady in the garden"
marilyn--I saw your post...i love those polar bears...and good to know you are doing them...when I saw bears I was thinking well I guess I was thinking the brown bear type...
I do love those polar bear guys...always makes me want to have a COKE and start singing the song as well
I was getting started on the lady in the garden...but majority of the punches are retired. The major significant punches....so I started thinking ...I have the punches but these are big pieces of this punch art...
Started thinking, looking deciding...I used bits and pieces of other swaps and have made one myself--
I'm so proud of myself...I MADE "YOGA Chickie" boy oh boy does it look cute....
Susan--you know i think this is an awesome swap and the vibes that have been coming through the computer when people chat about this....well its a good feeling, really an anticipation like opening a gift....oh so exciting...
feel like a kid waiting on santa to bring the gift....I have even made a few cards for RMH and i started a few punches myself....this swap has really stirred the creative juices...
Creativity is a gift that I love to utilize and freely share. It's even more fun when I know the recipient is equally interested in hand crafted items.
I think I'm going to try the flat rate envelope for sending my pages. We'll see if they fit.
Have been trying to figure out what I can do to complete this swap and am just stumped.
Brief recap of challenge for me - foot pain for three months - misdiagnosis - finally new doctor on 7/30 - surgery on 8/3 - need to move to another island on Monday for three months.
I am so sorry, but I cannot order the punches I need to complete this swap (no pay for two months) and am so bummed since I was making this for my preschoolers. I cannot wait to see all the creations - this swap is the best!

I love punch art and just found this thread earlier today. I will take the spots in both group 1 and group 2 that opened up if you can give me a few days to decide what punch art to make. I will choose something different than is already in the groups.

Sorry to hear about your foot. If I have the punches and the paper you need I would be happy to punch them for you and send them so that you can complete your pages and still participate.
maui---so sorry to hear about your health issues, but i'm glad they found the problem and you are the right track on getting better. I'm sending you a pm.
Rachel---IF the third spot doesn't get filled--here is a thought, you can use my spot in the last group that is by itself--group 6? and move the geisha girl to fill the empty spot...
just a thought, if someone else wants the join the more the merrier!
Thanks LInda... I am happy to do that, but only if that is what you really want. I don't want to put an extra load on anyone!! And I want you to have a nice variety!
