Questions for you, Monica!

If I plan to try out the BIA for these...
Should I go ahead and cover the pages and bind them, but leave them blank for decorating with the embellishments?

Or would it be better to not use the BIA and send all the pieces for someone to put together however they like with their own binding system?

Good question, maybe you should cover and bind and leave the embellishing for the recipient. I think that's what I'm going to do, when I get my act together.

Hmmm, I was going to leave the covers "naked" and then the recepient can choose which paper they want on the cover and which embellies too. What if they want the green paper on the cover instead of the blue....

That's a good idea too. What I can do, once I receive them I can put them into categories, Naked and Covered, and people can call dibs.

I'm open to either way, but thought I'd ask only because if I'm binding them already, too hard to cover them completely then, you know? You would have the unfinished edge so to speak.

May not matter with the ones I make but I'll see how they go, just wanted to check first. I'm open to receiving either, naked or dressed.

They safely arrived today. I haven't had the chance to open them. I just wanted to let you know they're here.

Okay ladies, since this swap is due in a month, I've closed it.

I'm sending everyone an album kit, so you send 3 you get 3. When I have them all made I'll post pics, that way if you want to call dibs on any you can.

Yay! Snow day here! Half day off from work though it took me nearly two hours to get home in the storm!
Playing with some layout ideas for these... Sneak peek:

I have all my albums made, now to find the goodies to go with them. My sister is here visiting and I showed her the kits I received. She's been watching me put my kits together, and her response, "I hope you plan on putting more stuff in yours."

In my defense, like I said before, I just have the albums made. Images, die cuts, sentiments, and punches are a great idea too. I think I'm going to make some 3D flowers to go in my kits too.

Monica, I was thinking of doing a paper bag kit - how many bags are you using in your kits #1 and#2?

Monica, Love the variety of your kits. It was hard to choose but I finally decided on the pink and red kit. Kristyn (tryingtofindtime) is sitting here next to me oohing and aaahing. She would like the Halloween kit. Thanks for letting us make dibs.

I only used 3 bags for my albums. I was thinking the bag opening allows for additional pages (hidden inside).

I gotcha (both). Are you lucky enough to live close and can get together for "craft dates?" I'm so jealous. A few months ago, Susan (StampinGoodDeeds) had CuppaJava and me over to craft. Unfortunately Susan lives 2 hours away, so we don't get together that often.

No we don't live close. Lois lives in Florida and I live in Georgia. Every year she and Pat come up here and we go to camp crop-a-lot and we spend the whole weekend together!! it's sooooo much fun...no husband no kid...just us and paper, sissors, dies, adhesive...well you get the idea. and then once a year I fly down there with an empty suitcase to go to stampfest. That's a total blast too!!!

OOOO Camp Crop-A-Lot and Stampfest sound like fun. I live in the Washington DC area and we have nothing like that. There is a scrapbooking convention (Not CK) that happens in June. I went once, very disappointing. You'd think in a major metropolitan area like this, we'd have more.

We had a 3 day retreat here 2 years ago but haven't had one since other than the fun day Monica, Jen and I had at my house one afternoon. Need to do it more often though!
