SIC93 (02/21/11) Theme Parks (& Vacations)
 

Hello scrappy friends!

Undoubtedly many of you have recently vacationed at a theme park. Or maybe it’s been a few years, but the scrappin’ fairy never came to your house to complete your vacation album for you. Whatever the case, if you’ve got some unscrapped theme park photos floating around, now’s the time to get ‘em scrapped! (I’m still trying to get caught up on a few past trips to Disney before we head to Disney World again this October!)

So, my challenge to you is to be inspired by the attached theme park pages (see attached pdf) created by 9 different scrappers from Splitcoast Stampers! Scrap a page or two using at least 2 photos from a theme park you or friends/family have visited whenever! If theme parks aren’t your thing, then scrap a page from any vacation.

This challenge is open to all types of scrappers whether you are traditional, hybrid, or digi. Please use the keywords SIC93 when uploading your pages to the gallery.

You're welcome, Lela. We have a lot of great theme park pages in the gallery -- both traditional and digi! It was hard to just pick a few --I tried to cover several different parks.

I do hope I've inspired you to get some pages done. For that matter, I hope I've inspired myself!! ;)

Great challenge! Thanks for picking one of my LO's. I still haven't finished that book, so this will be a great challege for me to get to this week :) Lots of yummy inspiration to get me started!!

You're both welcome! Just curious, when you opened the attachment, what percentage did it open at? On my computer it opened at 197% and that is BIG! That's way bigger than I viewed it when I created the document in Word. I had to reduce the zoom to 100% in Adobe Reader so I could see them at a comfortable size. I wonder if it's the default set up on my computer?

Wendy just wanted to say thanks for this challenge. I went looking for some pics that I had in mind for a page and I discovered 4..........yes 4 CD's of pics I have never scrapped. They are all vacation pics and mostly Disney. My grandchildren are so little in them! Geeze I will never get caught up!

Ha ha, Patti -- I know I'll never get caught up! It's the "journey" along the way that counts! :)

Mine opened up at 54.2% (just right)! Thanks for picking my page on vacations. I just finished up working on a DPS of Dutch Wonderland when I opened up SCS and saw your challenge! How funny! I've got all the pics done now just to find some embellishments, etc to finish it up so it doesn't look too plain and I'll probably post it tomorrow or Wednesday. I'm actually doing it for the one VSBN challenge I didn't get to do and now it was for Lela's second chance Thursday challenge! Now I can add one more to it!

Boy, don't we all have lots of pics that would fit into this challenge? lol!

Yes, I think almost all of us have pages to do in this category! I've never heard of Dutch Wonderland, so I'm looking forward to seeing your page, Terry!

Mine was pretty big when I opened it, but I just shrunk it down some. :) I am working on this challenge today since me and my DD are home sick :( She is quite chipper, but I am not. Maybe the Disney page will brighten my day?

Great challenge and I have what seems to be an endless supply of theme park photos...but then again I live in the land of theme parks, lol! Thank you for picking one of my pages. I have so many challenges to get caught up on but hopefully I'll have time next week...the fourth we go to Ft. Wilderness for dd2s b-day so I'll definitely some photos after that :-)

Yeah, yeah! Such a fun challenge though I despise theme parks (oh, except Disney). :) Anyway, I see this every morning on vacation as I ride my bike on the beach. It is my special place, and SO VERY meaningful to me! I can't wait to go home for two weeks this summer and just ride and enjoy! Thanks for the great challenge! Blessings,

Great idea Wendy. I've never been lucky enough to take the kid's to a real big theme park like Disney but I do have pics of my family at a little amusemnet park when we went to Prince Edward Island. I just might have to scrap them. Or I might scrap the one's from Anne of Green Gables in PEI. Time to go digging through so old photos.

I only had the one pic though, and making some smaller ones out of bits of the main image just didn't work.
