OK Scrappin' Friends! It's time for us to move on to September!! Can you believe it? WOOHOO!! Let's start setting our September Scrappin' Goals.
If you weren't able to join us in Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, May, June, July or August PLEASE come and play in September! We have a SCRAPPIN' Good Time!!
Scrappin' Challenge 2008
It was SO fun to see everyone's goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2008! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...
The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done, use more in our stash before buying new (well at least keep track) and save $$ at the same time which becomes scrapping budget $ for next year -- or vacation money or Holiday fund!
Here's the Post you'll Find Each Monday's Sketch In. Remember, these sketches will be for "multiple" pictures as we all know those layouts are harder to complete so we put those off until last. Let's get those Birthday, Christmas, Graduation, Sports Layouts into our Scrapbooks!
09/01/08 --- Here's a FUN One for ya this week! I'm SO sorry but I can't remember what site I got this l/o from? Hmmm? I'll keep looking.
Today is September 1 & my hubby's b-day! I'm off to finish buying the ingredients for his favorite dinner...Taco Lasagna...mmmmmmmmmm. The girls are in our neighborhood's first Bike Parade. I took pics of them decorating bikes yesterday. Not sure how the turnout for the parade will be but they had fun. Then home to cook...then SCRAPPIN' this afternoon! I need to fondle my paper ;-) Hubby's on a 40-50 mile bike ride this morning so he'll be relaxing this afternoon; hoping to hook up with some friends tonight if the weather cooperates. I wish you all a fun day too :-)
I met my August goals and did spend about $5 over goal.
September Goal: 12 pages / $25
I'm restarting my Pampered Chef business after a 3.5 year break so I hope I make my page goals this month. Now maybe I can save what I spend too ;-)
Hey Lela. I forgot to give you my goals last month mostly cause I didn't get to scrap all summerlong, so when I got back into it I just dove in and worked hard and forgot to really post anywhere. Anyway my goal for August was to do
30 pages or hit my ytd total to 150 and I was 3 short of that yesterday.
My Sept goal is 30 or if I am on a roll than maybe make my ytd total up to 200, but that will be over 50 pages. We'll see the minimum is 30. (I have 2 gift albums I need to make (which I don't want to do cause it will take away time for me getting caught up LOL), that should help. We will see how I do tho.
Well since I may be having a visitor around the middle of the month, I am going to set my goal at 6 pages again. I'm excited to have passed my goal for the year already! As for my budget, I'm sticking with my stash! Can't wait to see everyone's pages!
I am going to set my goal this month really high for me but in order to meet my year goal i have to get it done.....lol. i already have one done. will upload in a bit!!!
september goal 20 pages
september budget $0.00 stash only!
scrap on sisters!!!!

Happy September! This is one of my my favorite months of the year. I LOVE fall here in Minnesota. Of course, I'm so sad to see summer go... it was a really short summer this year.
My goal is to get our California/Sonoma/Napa book completed in time for christmas. I got 5 more pages done on it this weekend, so it's coming along.
I'm going to keep my same goal of 15 for the month with hopes of going over. So, 15 for the month of September.
This next week I won't be scrapping much. I'm photographing a wedding next Saturday - holy cow!!! I have some stuff to do to prep for it, so that will take up most of my week.
Anyway, looking forward to a new month with you all!
Well, I have about 72 pages left to meet my YTD goal. I'm going to up my page goal this month back to 25 pages and hope I can meet my YTD goal by the end of November! That will make scrappin' in December FUN because every page will be over.
I'm SO excited for all of you that have already met your YTD Page Goal!

I think so... I've been getting pages done & this is usually the time I get more time to scrap & feel more like scrappin' after Summer hiatus. Fun part is this summer I still scrapped pretty regular!!
What are you & kids doin' today? We're headed to the Zoo specifically to see the Jelly Fish exhibit. LOL. May get some scrappin' in tonight?

We are going to go pick corn. Dh found a u-pick yesterday and wants to go check it out.
I am already working on pages so I am going to set my goal for 10 this month. I went down to 5 for the summer but now am back up. Hopefully I can get more done, but I will be happy with 10. Just using my stash also.
We had a great time at the zoo. Jelly Fish are VERY cool (lots of kinds, I didn't know!) just hard to photo. Hope FUN day for all of you?
glad you had a great time Lela!!! jelly fish are even harder to paint...lol. trust me i know. i painted them as part of a mural on my ex-boss's nursery wall.

The goal for September will be 20 pages and no money spent except for adhesive and the two delivered to my door kits I get every month. I also need to make myself accountable for some swaps I signed up for and they are due October 1 so I am making them a part of my September goal. I will update my signature right away!!! I just want to see it in print one more time that I made my goal for August!!! I don't have a YTD total as I didn't start to count that way and I don't think I can catch that up now. Next year I will count that way for sure.

Hi all! I did meet my September goal - at the last moment - so my August total was 50 and my YTD is 244.
Anyway for Sept, I'm going with 10. It's a VERY busy month, and I'll have to make up for it in October to meet my yearly goal. I have my all-day crop and VSBN in Oct, so that should work  I hope!
Jellyfish sound way cool - we did the amusement park thing (one of the old-timey ones on an island). The kids loved it, but I'm BEAT. Good luck to you all - I know you can do it!! Now off to find a new avatar!

Hello, just stopping by to whine about not making goal! i did only 5 pages out of the 31 sooooooooooo, moving on. inSept. i need to make up the difference of 26 + 30 a grand total of 56! i can do it. my totals were not updated from july to Aug. so i will recount all that later. i have several unfinished pages plus an 8x8 album, so i just gotta kick it into gear and just do it. i also plan to complete mini vsbn challenges(very fun and inspirational). i should have lots of time atleast for the next two weeks.

I can't imagine...they were so beautiful but so filmy-like. I can't believe they can even be captured and put into a tank. Would have been neat on a mural.

I'm cleaning up and organizing my scrap space. After the last few weeks of marathon scrapping, I'm sure you can imagine what it looks like...I hope to be done early tonight as the last couple of nights I've scrapped with the Queen of Late Night (Jodi) [LOL!] and I'm needing an early night....

Well, I'm gonna jump on the bandwagon this month -- my goal for September is 12 pages and $25. That's a high page goal for me but a LOW spending goal! (I can really use a budget limit!) I'll be interested to see how I do. I haven't been keeping track of a YTD count, but when I get a minute, I'll go back and see how many that is too!

We're glad you're joining us! Way to jump in...I think that's why I don't clean and organize my scrap space very often. REALLY BIG reminder that I should be doing a better job of budgeting spending too!

I would love to join this challenge - now if I understand correctly all I have to do is nominate my goal for the month  ??
I have heaps of "completed" pages - layout and title done, but no journalling!! so am I allowed to set myself a double challenge ??
I must FINISH (the journalling) on 10 pages, and THEN
I am going to do 10 new pages (complete with journalling)
My budget is then $50 to spend (and $50 saved for Sellabration 2009)
