Morning.
I know a few of you may be Stampin Up demonstrators. Wondering if SU has any special deals to become a demonstrator and how much it cost?
You'd be an awesome demo, Tam! I used to be a hobby demo several years back, but don't know any current info. I'm sure some of the SU gals will post soon!
Good evening....seems that the updates done on my PC last Friday didn't solve the problems with it so I had to take it back to the "doctor's" today. They called me and said they have to do a system restore which will wipe everything off of it and I'll have to reload software again so it might be another couple of days before they give it back to me and I get it up and running again. I had put all my files onto 2 external hard drives. I've had a layout almost done for 2 weeks now using Sally's #301 sketch but never got a chance to finish it since it was working so slow

Oh no!! I feel lost w/o my PC when that's happened! I'm so lucky my DH is a techy. I just have to listen to him tell me I need to learn to do that stuff but I usually tell him I fix dinner so that's his job...LOL!!
I have to say if I didn't have a room full of stuff I could convert to digi very easily. I'm slowly uploading pics on my DH's pc to CVS. Then I have to edit, order and pick them up. I printed about 100 photos awhile ago and still have enough for a bunch of pages but of couse just not the subject I want for the challenges. I did download the free SU digi layouts so I could experiment. I may just have to have a big garage sale...LOL!

I still do both, paper and digital scrapbooking. This year, though, has been entirely digital. I say go with what feels the best. I still use regular scrapbook albums, so that I can mix in paper pages whenever I want. I love the randomness of it because it is MY book, created MY way. I also make cards, so I never really feel like I've wasted supplies really. I did just donate ALL of my stickers for scrapbooking, except for a very few basketball ones, to a family retreat program my work just had. That felt so good!! I hadn't used stickers in SO long! I don't save every little scrap of paper anymore either, as I figure I have enough supplies to last me for a really long time now! I try to only purchase digital versions of items I know I want for just scrapbooking, and get paper and digital if I think I will use it for cards too. I haven't gotten to feeling like I want to print digital papers to use for cards and I rarely make digital cards.
Has the first week of November pasted already?? Not quite but close enough. I have not even made a goal for November nor have I posted any of the pages I finished in October. Yipes.
I think I will only get 5 done this month........maybe.

Thanks for the link Wendy. I ordered it since they wiped out my PSE9 program when "fixing" my laptop, I figured I'd put the new one on. We got a bunch of rebates when we bought our new kitchen appliances so I used some of that money as an early christmas present.

Who's around playing today?? I made a page last night, now I'm only 3 from my yearly goal! Yay!!!
I am thinking of playing with fabric, the Big Shot and my sewing machine today and doing some quilting. I've got a long weekend so I need to split my time between all my fun
I love that our digital challenges are inspiring our traditional scrapbookers (and vice versa). What a great community - you guys have really kept me motivated and having fun with my scrapbooking all year!! Thank you!!

I'm scrapping today..funny I have a long weekend too! I'm just about ready to finish challenge #3. Once I get it posted then I'll move onto #5. The way my thought process was this week I had to skip around because I couldn't come up with any ideas for those pages until last night. After that I'm going to work on the Progressive Challenge.
I'm so upset with myself...I have my pictures already for my next layout and laid a rub on down on top of one of the pictures. Not only did I ruin the rub on (lucky I had more) but it ruined the pic too!! Now I'll have to settle on another pic or get it reprinted!!
I agree with you, I can't stop saying how glad I am I found this group and can join in the digi challenges too!! I'm having a lot of fun and I feel so satisfied with what I'm coming up with !! You guys are AWESOME!!
I don't know where I am for the year. I have lost track, but I did do a 20 page scrapbook for my GF in September before I left town for the month.
So maybe start fresh next year!

I just loved your pages and as I said Newport RI is one of our favorite place too...we've been there a lot of times over the years. Did you know they lost part of the Cliff Walk during Sandy? So sad but they're replacing it...so glad because it's a great place to walk.
Sharon (smadson) and I are on the same wavelength today. She just posted her pages for the new My Favorite Things (MFT) scrap challenge here on SC, and I'm now posting mine!
This is the first "paper" page I've made in I can't remember how long... months and months!
Best Friends
If you want to participate in the challenge, upload a page you create using their scrap layout by Nov. 17. There will be a random draw each month from all the participants who have uploaded their Scrap Samples to SCS using the proper keyword. Two winners will be chosen each month and the winners will receive a $15 gift voucher. If the winner used MFT stamps, they will receive $ 5 in bonus bucks, for a total of $20. Here's the link to the challenge if you want to check it out!

Well back to the craft corner!
I've done stuff like that--usually it's when I turn the photo facedown to add adhesive and I put it over something sticky on my blotter. Luckily, I often print my pics on my printer, so I just print 'em again. Still makes me mad--will I never learn?

NO, I didn't know that! We were there just the week before, not even a whole week. Also stayed with our son in NYC before our cruise, a little over a week later the three block radias around their apt. bldg was destroyed. We had eaten on Pier 17 (South St. Seaport) and that is gone!
Our DS and DDIL have not home right now. Staying with friends and in a hotel. We don't know for how long; could be for as long as 4 months.
Unbelieveable how many people Sandy affected up and down that Eastern Coast area.

I saw the Cliff Walk on the news. Oh, I'm so sorry to hear your family was affected. What everyone there is going through is horrible. It's bad enough when a storm like that hits but now its cold and then to have snow on top of that. I know companies in our area have done collections and sent 1 trucks so far. I work for a large company with offices & employess is that area. They have donated $250K to the Red Cross & they are also matching employee donations so that's where we sent ours. I'll keep them in my thoughts & prayers.

That sounds like a great deal, I would order one for myself but my son is going to load a copy of Photoshop 10 on my computer at Christmas time. Since I have been using Photoshop 4 for years and have no problems and it does what I need it to do, I figure Photoshop 10 will be good enough for me.

Wow, Sharon, I didn't realize you knew Photoshop! That's a level up from Elements! I'm thinking if your son loads Photoshop 10, we'll be seeing you in the digi threads soon!

I downloaded a trial veriosn of Photoshop Elements 10 for 2 classes I took this summer at CKC in Lancaster. I enjoyed the class and bought a book, etc. I should have come right home and bought it because now they came out with the new version. From what the teacher from my classes emailed to everyone it's a lot different. I haven't taken the time to research but I'm hoping I can still buy the old version. My winter project is to experiment with digi
I'm following Wendy's lead from last week, and have already got tomorrow's Tuesday Digital Challenge up. I cheated a little, just used a page from earlier this year for my sample and to build the challenge off of.
