Finally caught up on reading. No fun having surgery (period). I have had more than I would like at my age. Best of luck Terry. Hope you have some fun on vacation before. Lots of pages being done! and I would agree that there have been some awesome digi pages. I need to take pictures of two more pages I finished up yesterday. Hopefully tomorrow.

Good Morning! Well sunny FL is not so sunny this past week so I've been doing about an hour of gardening each morning before heat/rain comes; this morning's is done. It's great my plants are getting watered by Mother Nature but it sure get's 'wild' quick! We're suppose to have rain all weekend so I'm hoping after my errands are completed I can spend the day scrapping.

Last night I went through my digi files to try to organize but that may be a lost cause! I started because I was looking for some dog papers/elements but apparently I don't have any so my goal today is to go through some other files and get this digi page done! I want to get caught up on the digi challenges if possible . I think organizing my digi files (that have been looooonnnnggggg neglected) may become an evening project all on its own. How do you digi ladies organize your kits/files?

Off to start my errands and then back home to play

I have the same problem Mary Pat. I try to rename each individual file now as I'm downloading them so that I can search later on. I've got everything in one folder named scrapbooking and then after that by website or designer name or season/holiday. I've got one folder of all Alphas and one folder with all templates but then I've got a folder for Designer Digitals and in that folder a subfolder for templates too. So.....I usually do a search under scrapbooking and see what comes up.

When I take my computer on vacation with me next week, I'll probably spend a lot of time renaming files again and deleting those that I think I'll never use. It's a Huge Daunting Task!

Finished a page for the progressive challenge at Divine Digital yesterday. This one started out as a red and black checkerboard!

Here's another page done for inspiration Dunk challenge and the digi Less is More challenge as well as the one for Theme Parks...I normally try to use TONS of photos when I do a page so I very seldom use only one picture. However, in this layout, I only had one picture taken so it worked out really well. I did try to remember to use the rule of 3 too!

The only difficult part was the clipart. When I right clicked on it, it saved as a .gif file and even though I could click and drag it onto my page in PSE, it wouldn't stay on the layout. I had to keep googling to find out how to convert it to a jpeg but then I found I could save it as a .png file through microsoft's Paint program on my PC! However, it brought along all the white background too so I had a LOT of erasing to do very carefully to get just Spongebob to show but it was worth the effort! TFL!

Great pages Terry!

All that digi talk, confuses me! LOL I like things I can touch. I love the digi pages, they are all so vibrant, but still I like my hands on. For one thing don't get along with computers!
Anyway I do have all the photos of my pages on my laptop and I just put them in an Uploaded file, and they are in by the month I scrapped them. But of course they are in paper form in the correct albums1 Now, my photos on the other hand...oh me...

OK...in between taking an ice cream break and watching 2 movies with DGS, I've finally got this page done for Patti's VSBN Challenge tonight.

Tomato Plant

I chose the deep fried pickles options since I've wanted to do this page on the tomato plant DGS and I planted at the beginning of spring. We are just hoping these tomatos get ripe before we go on vacation or wait until we come home to eat them

And this page officially puts me over my goal for June....

Great page Terry! Congratulations on being over your goal.

I just counted, I have done 8 of my 9 page goal. So I have one more page to come up with. So one more!
When is the main event of VSBN? July? I wonder how many challenges we will have.

Go Sharon! I checked the VSBN thread and the next weekend event is on July 15 with the 3 day event July 27, 28, and 29.

I'll probably be able to do the 15th since that will be the weekend after my knee surgery so I'll still be recuperating I'm not too sure about the end of July though. DGS and DH come back the 28th from a week at cub scout camp so I'll probably be doing laundry and feeding the hungry hungry kid!

Can't believe I missed this topic! There is a learning curve for digi, and when I started, I still did mostly traditional paper pages. I actually started getting serious about learning digi when the digi challenges first came out on SCS. I'd do a digi page and learn some, then I'd go back to the safety and comfort of paper! I still love paper and have TONS of supplies, but I have problems with my hands and find digi is much easier for me now.

When I started digi, kits and supplies were hard to find on the internet--now, like Terry and Mary Pat said, you could search for just freebies and never buy a thing except the program. ( PM me if you're ever wanting to know where to find freebies!) I am a queen of digi freebies, but I also buy digi kits and embellishments. I order my 12x12 prints thru Persnickety Prints when on sale like Terry and also buy them when they're on sale for 99 cents at Scrapbooks Please. (I'm on both mailing lists.) Sometimes I make a hybrid page--8x8 printed at home, then added to a 12x12 paper and add "real" embellies. They're also fun to frame!

Stampin' Up's My Digital Studio (MDS) seems like a good program if you don't want to be overwhelmed with choices--and it's been around long enough now so there are lots of tutorials, classes and videos to help you learn. I love Photoshop Elements, but there is a pretty steep learning curve.

Well, that's my two (hundred) cents! lol

Did you try to delete the white background using the magic wand tool? I find that works really well most times.

Wendy, thanks for the offer of help finding free digi images. I just can't see myself doing digital scrapping yet. It would end up being another way to take time away from traditional scrapping and believe me I can find plenty of ways to wile away my time. I will definatly keep in mind the offer, thank you.

No...I don't think about that option since I've never really used it too much. One of the ladies made the same comment on the layout so I'll have to try it out for practice...thank you. Still so much to learn...and so little time

Here's a page I did of my DGD at the beach in Cancun--hair braided island-style and all!:

Carefree in Cancun

Off to the gallery to leave some love!

Ah, I've had a long hard month. Work is weighing heavy. Free time has been spent sleeping or reading and little else - except perhaps Facebook. I'm anxious to finally find a few free hours to play and scrapbook. I'll be taking a bunch of new pictures on vacation next week so I'm sure to find SOMETHING to put to paper (digital or not!!) before too long.

Hello my scrappy friends! I have not disappeared into never never land but it has been a couple of months since I've been on here. I have actually tried to spend less time on the computer.

My girls have kept me busy busy with their dance stuff. They have been at all day dance workshops for the past three weeks and it is amazing how much I can get done with them not here. Of course none of it has been scrapping.

I do have a prayer request if you are inclined to do so. My dh had a colonoscopy last friday and they found and removed one polyp but other than that it looked "remarkable" as the nurse said. Well, the polyp tests came back as a tumor. He has to go back this Friday to have the spot where the polyp was tattooed and then possibly surgery in a couple of weeks after we get back from vacation. Hopefully when the polyp was removed that took care of it. BTW, if you are one of my FB friends please don't mention it on there because we haven't told the girls anything. We are waiting until we know exactly what is going on.

I'll try to catch up on this thread and take a look at everyone's pages soon. Now, I need to go clean some.

I finally made a dent in some pages and completed 14 pages this month, 6 digi and 8 paper...a record for me I do believe! I now have to get ready for another LAX tournament in Coral Springs so no more scrapping until next week. I'm hoping to get even more than this done in July since I'm soooooo far behind my annual goal. This is my final page for June, the digi progressive challenge:
