I have a question I 'm sure you well-informed ladies will be able to answer! Did I miss some info regarding the Scrapbook Variety Challenge? There hasn't been a new challenge posted since April. Did we lose a hostess or something like that?

I haven't heard anything and have been wondering also. Lela would probably know. Things aren't always hoppin' on the challenge threads and I know it can be discouraging for a hostess when there's little participation.
ok, I am terrible about this part of the whole goal/tracking thing, but will try to get better, at least I am doing some pages right :-/ anyhow... I am trying to do 4 pages a month, and so 52 pages for the year.
So for June I already have my 4 done and will try to keep doing at least one a week. Sign me up for July when it rolls around, please, in case I forget

Wendy, I'm sure you're right about discouraged hostesses. I post sketches periodically on my blog and sometimes wonder if I'm wasting my time because I don't get a lot of feedback re: people using them. I'm trying to participate in more challenges, and have managed to do two Thursday challenges last month, plus I did the inspiration challenge and the variety challenge the last time they were posted. Sometimes the challenges are too specific, and that's why I haven't participated. Maybe others feel the same way? Sorry, I'm rambling. Let me know if you find out anything!

Well the Thursday challenge thread has diappeared. The thread will not let me in either. Says that it is not available to me......hummmm I will get in touch with Lela and see if she can fix it up for us!

unfortunately ... "life" happened and we haven't had another volunteer yet for hosting. We're planning to make changes to the Scrapping Section and re-launch all of our Challenge Threads in Fall

I am still working on the Dunk challenge. I don't digi scrap so I don't even look at that one but there seems to be a number of lookers is not doers.
Like it has been mentioned, the challenges is too specific and I can't think of an idea then I don't participate. I have done several challenges the last couple of months. For some reason I don't often do sketch challenges.
I like the fact that Thursday challenges are mentioned in this thread, it reminds me to check it out.

Patti, it really helped me to participate more once I knew I didn't have to do the challenge exactly as you posted it! I really like the quotes you've been coming up with, so don't give up yet. Maybe the quote plus just one other requirement or technique would make it easier.

Another thought I had: could someone please clarify the difference between the Variety Challenge, the Inspiration Challenge, and the Thursday Challenge? Sometimes they seem to overlap so I'm not really sure what type of challenge someone who was thinking of taking over the Variety Challenge would be expected to post!

By the way, just because I may not post to in a challenge does not mean I did not participate. Sometimes I forget which challenge I am making my page for by the time I finish said page. Like the challenge that had metal on it, I made several pages, I just forgot where I saw the challenge.
Patti, I think you are doing a wonderful job. I like the quotes and like Motherload said, one or two other requirements are great.
I guess I will clean off a spot on my desk and work on the Dunk challenge page.

I am pretty sure there are a LOT of participants who don't post their participation, I think they are very happy to have inspiration and glad to be getting the project done-all SCS challenges, notonly scrap page-and when it comes to posting may be: shy, out of time, not have the pc skills, etc. So hostesses, please don't be discouraged you will never know the countless people you ARE touching!
All of your comments and encouragement to the hostesses is appreciated, ladies!
Cheryl, I think a good way to get an idea of the nature of the different challenges, particularly the variety challenge, would be to check out some of the old challenges in their Master Threads. Like way back in the first years they were posted.
Wendy, those pages are so vibrant! Great job on the challenge!

I think so too. I've noticed lots of views especially in the sketch challenges and I think people use them just don't post that they do or use the keywords. I noticed that sometimes the keyword is used in the name but not the proper spot so it never makes it into the actual gallery. I do the same thing as Sharon where I start a page but forget which challenge it's for when I finally get around to posting it. I love reading the challenge descriptions because they do give me inspiration even if it's not right away...You all do a great job hostessing.

Things are going nicely on the digi challenges so far, so that's encouraging for the digi hostess team!

Wahooo, just some basic cleaning up today, a bit of gardening and then I'm in my scraproom to do some major catching up...starting today!!!
We need a "like" button on here! My kids are off to soccer camp this morning, so I have three hours in which to play.

I finally finished the DUNK challenge page, four cards and two novels later. Shoot, I started a book and could not put it down until I finished. Can't scrap a lick that way.
Skipped the gardening and went to the library with dd2 an am finally getting into the craft room at 4 PM. Nothing else scheduled so I'm off to work on my Round & Round VSBN pages .

Here is my page for my inspiration challenge today. I am working on the companion page, and hope to get it on later today. I am doing great for June, especially since we will have another VSBN challenge this week. Don't we? Still have all of Patti's Thursday challenges to work on, too.

Okay it is the 19th, and this the first time to post for June. Holy cow!! Days are flying by! My goal is 2 for the month, but I already have two more almost done...so I will hopefully reach and exceed my goal! I'm packing a house and trying to finish up these scrapbook pages for a church scrapbook. So here is the first one: Relief Society Birthday Brunch - chickadee3357

A few minutes ago I had noticed your name was listed as the last person in the Master Thread, so I had gone in to see why. Wow, you did a beautiful job, Cheryl! It looks so neat and tidy. Thanks for doing that. The master lists are a big help.
You're obviously a very thorough person, which shows with your detailed and well-designed scrap pages!
P.S. I can't believe you read every challenge. Amazing!
Wendy, there are some great challenges and I got lots of inspiration, so hopefully I can now follow through and do some of them! Working on one tonight.
