Yeah! I got my jounraling done & on my page then cut the title...all before I went to work this morning. All I need to do is put the letters together, put them on the page then upload!! I should be able to finish tonight!! Well back to work.
Thank you Terri! I've been thinking about my goals. I think my card goal this year will be to make 50 cards but actually MAIL at least 24 of them. (Not counting my Christmas cards). I feel like I make them but don't always mail/give them! lol!
I understand what you are saying COMPLETELY.
Around September last year I started getting organized for Christmas using the "Organized Christmas Plan" making a notebook, using a 3 ring binder etc. It really helped me stay on target for Christmas, from cleaning, shopping, keeping my online orders and packing slips in one spot and organized (it was a blessing now that it's time to send some things back for refund etc.) But what was THE most wonderful part of all was that I had my Christmas cards made and mailed BEFORE Christmas this year.!! A feat that surprised not only my recipients but myself as well. Not to mention that I didn't have any gifts stashed away somewhere to be found in February (yes, it happens more times than I care to mention.)
I've already planned to have my own personal "Rudolph Club" on the 25th of every month, where I do something Christmas related. This month I will be making 10 Christmas Cards and purchasing a gift card to either give as a gift, or use to shop with when it gets closer to Christmas.
I thiink I finally broke out of my slump. I have 2 pages almost done for The Hobbit Challenge! I just need to do the title & journaling. I just kept looking at that challenge & didn't know what to do until I went through my pictures. I didn't see the movie but I think the subject may fit...kinda! I'm not sure I'll get finished tomorrow but Wednesday at the latest. I'm going to work on the progressive challenge next.
Can't wait to see your page Lou Ann! These days I seem to be doing more thinking about crafting than actual crafting! Although I did spend 6 hours yesterday helping a good friend stamp and assemble her wedding invitations, so I guess I was technically crafting..
Tuesday and Wednesday we are suppose to have monsoon like rains, which we actually need. DH is back at school today, his kids don't go until Wednesday. DS#3 goes back tomorrow. I have to work Tuesday night. So, Tuesday is desginated as a cleaning day. Wednesday I am off and looking forward to having the house to myself, so it will be a Crafting day with a nice fire and some good movies. I already have a pork dinner in mind which includes the crock pot, so I'm set!
I have my card sketch for my 10 Christmas cards ready, today I am going through my "mega" stashes of paper to find something that will work.
I AM NOT BUYING ANYTHING TO MAKE THESE !!!
I have my 2 scrapbook page layout ready, I think I will make the pages today then go to Walmart tomorrow(unless I can squeeze it in today) and print the pictures up. I was going to go digial with this layout but I have SOOoooo much paper that I need to start using some.
I AM NOT BUYING ANYTHING TO MAKE THESE EITHER !!!
As for my 5 birthday and 5 misc cards for this month, I found a 3 ring binder that I have filled with ATC's from various swaps, I think I'll start incorporating them into cards instead of taking up vauable space.
DITTO!
So that's the plan ~ let's see if I can stick to it!

We have a new host for the Inspiration Challenge and she'll be posting a new challenge every two weeks! Her name is Vicki Garrett and you can read more about her and see her first challenge here:
so excited to be here! Hope you'll all come and play~
Welcome back Vicki! Your first challenge is a good one...now to find the time (and energy) to play
There are so many great inspirations in the scrapping forums that I wish I had time to just sit and look and scrap all day (but you know that normal life seems to get in the way of that)

Hey paper, digi...it's ALL good! I do both and it's the same amount of time...just a matter of finding that time . I had a lovely last day of break with my girls today. Now, I'm going to prep dinner and finish up organizing my photos so I can put in an order.
I have some free prints with Snapfish, how do you all like them? I tend to print my photos at home or at Costco...who do you print with on-line? I'm not a fan of WalMart, CVS, or Walgreen's for printing, the quality seems to be off for me at those places. Any other places you go for printing? I like printing at home but I think I may do a very large order so I'd rather send out; it most likely is cheaper that way.

Yep! Same here....TONS of paper and supplies accumulated BEFORE I found digi. I've been using the supplies for my grandchildren and DGS's scouting buddies and the church group I helped to make cards for a while ago. Still not too much of a dent made I get urges to create with it all but then I think...naaa, too much mess! lol!
I love looking at the scrapping pages you all make and just absolutely love the paper ones cause I know how much manual labor goes into making each one of them!

The only places I've ever used were CVS, Shutterfly and Persnickety Prints. I didn't have any issues with any of those 3 but I don't get prints done very often. Shutterfly was all freebies and I did those for the scouts.

I had only a few pictures of the last day of school and none of the first day. I could not get the best shots of them.......... too many kids in the way and everyone was too excited to wait around, especially the teachers!
I have been getting my pictures printed at Sam's Club for years and have never had any issues with them. Now the smallest size they do is 4x6 with a slight pebbly finish. In other words not the smooth shiny finish you can get in other places. What type of finish never mattered to me, just the color quality.

This is me!!!! I will never stop needing/wanting paper and real embellies, but I am really content digi scrapping. What I'm wrestling with now is what I need to keep around for tools. I have so many I'm not using - and honestly wasn't using even when I was scrapping with paper!

Did you think about trying to sell your unused tools on eBay?
I think I would probably really, really like digi because I'm on the computer alot. Plus when I sit down in my comfy chair after working all day & fixing dinner it's hard for me to get up. I think I have a big L on my forehead...not loser but lazy...LOL! I could just scrapp right there.
I am actually trying to figure out in my mind How to purge my tools and retired stamps and unused embellishments. I have a few choices. My biggest thing is that I want an electronic cutter to use with all of my many digital files now. I have digital files of physical punches that I never use anymore it seems, and if I wanted them I could cut them digi, AND have the option to cut to the size I need/want. There's lots to think about!!
Scrapbooking for me has always been more about the pictures and the stories -which is why I generally journal at least a small block if not more. I get the satisfaction of that from digital, plus I can do many fun things besides. Ultimately, I think it would be sweet to be scrapbooking hybridly and getting the best of both worlds.
Okay, I decided to get caught up in my older albums and I'm going through pics from 2009 that I could've sworn I scrapped but I don't see any pages completed...I'm a mess! ) I think I'll check my gallery just to be sure, lol!

I came to Mexico (husband expat assignment), and I decided not to work but to scrapbook. Brought the room with, and being here 4 1/2 years and haven't scrap much, about 6 months to leave Mex to move to another country and started again to see if I can finish all what I have accumulated over those years!!! LOL 2006 pictures

You will be fine!!!
Still didn't find the pages so it's just my poor memory. Just going through my photos is taking hours but it will be worth it in the end. What country are you moving to next?

Rudolph Club - I love it! What a great idea!! Unfortunately for me, I have to get organized before I can stay organized. LOL! But I am on a mission to get my craft room organized!
