Default Feb. Mid-month Progress Report

Just wanted to do a progress report on my feb. goals:

3rd Birthday LO = 4-6 pages Almost Finished
Pre-school pics = 4 pages Almost Finished
Christmas 2010 pics = 6 pages (plus or minus 2)
Disney Lo's = 8 pages (4 for mine and 'matching' ones for DD's scrapbook) Almost Finished
Halloween mini = 1 or 2 pages
December Daily Album 2009 = finishing touches
Order pictures from January 2010 Uploaded, but not ordered yet

Extra's (if I have time):
4 year photo shoot = 4-6 pages
4 year birthday parties = 6 pages
January 2010 pics = 4 pages

I have been trying to get rid of my cold, so it's been holding be back (besides my procrastinating). I mainly have to do the journaling on the pages that are almost finished and I usually drag my feet at that stage  I am determined to get the list completed!!!

Heart

My goal is to complete 2 Albums this year (Cruise 2007 and Son's First Year 2006-07), and start my daughter's Birth and First Year Albums 2009-2010.

Putting together invites for my 2 kids birthday party!!! Since the new baby arrived, 10 months ago, impossible to get anything done!!! Enjoying her as much as I can!!!

Hopping to share some photos of them soon!!!

Very uncompleted goals, lets see when I can start scrapbooking again.

HAPPY SPRING!!!

February run down -

4 Cards - met goal, but am still behind for planned cards (had some cards sneak in that weren't planned for. I've got another this week for a baby that was born Friday.)
No Christmas Cards done, but the pieces are just waiting for assembly.. I'll do Jan, Feb, March together
2 Altered items - garden markers and kitchen organizer
still working on my scrap area, but making progress weekly
I got 10 scrapbook pages done (8x8's and 12x12's)

I forgot to mention a project that I did but didn't count... my ds1 has been bugging me to make a stuffed animal, so a few weeks ago I sewed him a pig.. cute lil thing if I do say so myself. I'm thinking of enlarging the pattern and making another one

I think I'm going to take a stab at a list like Liz's early this week so I can plan out better. I did 10 pages since Weds. I'd prefer not to cram it all into the last 5 days of the month

None of its going to happen though if I don't go get some adhesive... I've gone through 3 or 4 refills since Weds and I'm down to my LAST one from my stocking stuffers!

Wink Checkin' In

Well, so far for Jan & Feb I met my goals for number of pages however, I've slacked off the 2 current to 1 older page scrappin'. I need to get busy on older picts, right now I seem to just be keeping up with more current pages. I'm going to try to do better job of that this month as I have all the pictures now sorted in boxes, it should be somewhat easier.

I also want to get busy on some of my altered projects. I always have "best intentions and that's why I pick up the items but I just don't seem to work on them once I get them. I'm not buying another altered item until I finish up the ones I have.

Last month of Stamp Club so other than that expense, I don't plan to purchase anything else this month. I'm making good dent in my stash this year so far by staying out of stores for impulse buys. It's good, I just need to keep working on that.

Hi, didn't hit my goal for Feb. aside from scrapbooking i did 37pages. I did 20 or so cards( will upload to gallery soon), no sewing, no altered stuff. For March I am focusing on finishing sewing projects, maybe a few cards. I have a couple sewing project using some recycled fabric and ribbon.
Happy Crafting...

Default April Scrap Goals (Broken Down)

I think I finished everything for march - yay! Breaking everything down into a set 'list' has really helped. It also gives me a little flexibility to jump around and not work continuously on one type of project. Diggin that!

Here's what I've got this month:

School Lo: 2 pages
Easter pics: 4-6 pages
Disney Lo's: 8-10 pages
Build-a-bear: 2 pages
Halloween portrait: 1 page
Halloween mini: finish (hopefully)
Peacock Halloween: 5-6 pages
Halfway party: 2-4 pages

Order pictures from April

It always seems overwhelming when I first look at it, but then I just do it one at a time and somehow it usually gets done!

Quiet here again today. Did you see that Jenn's offering a PRIZE for her Inspiration challenge this week????

Well, I did, and here's a page I did for her "Make It Yours" IFC73 challenge:

Disney Girl

Hop on the bandwagon and do a page for her challenge. She's going to randomly draw a name after the deadline!! (An awesome Ippity Stamp Set!!)

Default Creativity Goals Check-up

I thought I should come over here and hold myself accountable to my creativity goals. I checked in at the beginning of the year with the goals but I haven't really reported my true progress.
I made my scrapbooking goal this year more attainable and guess what?....I'm attaining it! I'm actually a couple of pages ahead of my goal.:p
I'm not doing as well with handmade cards.:( So many others prefer cards to SB pages as they say they are smaller and quicker but, I disagree. Yes they are in fact smaller but quicker...not for me. Especially when you get started with all those little layers and added special touches like dry embossing, stickles, coloring etc. I have tons of card inspiration but no card mojo.
I'm also behind on my faith-based challenges which I really need to do more than any of it. These are also smaller sized projects. Has anyone seen my paper-crafting mojo? It's missing and I need it back. Or maybe I'm not a paper-crafter. Maybe I'm just a scrapbooker. What do you guys think?

Good Morning Ladies!

Wishing you all have a creative Wednesday!

Oh, by the way, Nesties are 40% off @ Hobby Lobby. No coupon necessary. I got one set yesterday and will probably get 2 more before the sale ends on Saturday, the 17th.

Good Morning. I think in order to be a scrap booker you definitely have to consider yourself a paper-crafter. Paper crafting is where it all began.
Jenn you'll get your paper-crafter mojo back. I craft in waves depending on life and what moves me in the moment. In the end as long as you are being creative go with the ebbs and flows.
Scrapinnut620Thanks for the HL enabling I picked up a couple Nesti's myself. Oh,by the way I see your in Oswego I'm in Dorkville (J/k I mean Yorkville).

Default Cai's Russia

I made a travel log/album so my daughter could journal and save memorabilia from her stay in Russia. She liked it so I'm sure she will put it to good use. I used recycled cardboard for the covers. I added lots of envelopes, tags, and pockets to hold any goodies she'd want to keep.Album is 5"x7". You can see the entire album on my bloglink below tfl.

Talking Well .... How'd You Do?

Scrapping: I'm going to stay with 365 Pages. I didn't make it in 2009 but it's a fun goal to have so I'll try again! 2009: I completed 226 pgs.
255 pages completed. I did great through October and then lost my MOJO. Hopefully I'll find it soon and get back on track for 2011

Cards: I send to Senior Angel and Send Love Today weekly. I want to add sending to some of my family who enjoy cards, updates: 312 cards 384 Cards. I found some great sketch blogs that gave me ideas weekly to complete cards which in turn helped me be much more consistent in mailing

Altered Items: I have a TON of supplies and other items I've purchased over the years and not completed. They always look "neat" in the store. I'd like to complete (1) Altered Item per month: 12 Well, I got 6 unique items altered so that's more than I did in '09. What I did was not buy anymore items so at least my box of projects has more space and didn't grow!

Budget: I'm going back to "Save What you Spend" Goal. For every scrap/stamp/craft dollar I spend per month, I'll match with savings. This works so well for me, I have my spending $$ for 2011 from what I matched in savings for 2010. I spent much less in 2010 and was more creative! I hope to keep that trend going in 2011.

Exercise: Gotta Get Busy! I'm so thankful for my "SCS" Exercise Sisters! I need to get this weight down and more cardio activity each day for health reasons Well....I did good the first part of the year and lost 15 pounds, but then got lazy and gain 5 back so I'm still ahead of 2009 but need to get busy again for 2011.
I really think listing my Goals helped alot! I'm very pleased with all I got done this year...didn't quite meet the goals I set but made great progress ;)
Let's just say I got done more in 2010 than 2009 so I guess that "great progress", LOL! Since it's all for fun, it's all good .....

Here's what I would like to get done this year:

1. 192 LO's - variable monthly page goals
- Family cookbook/scrapbook
- Finish Disney Scrapbook x 2
- Important LO's (bday, halloween, Christmas, etc)
- Halloween Costume mini for DD
- Scrap more current moments
- December Daily album 2010
2. 30 Christmas cards
3. Use more of my stash/spend less
4. Lose 5 - 10 lbs before DH returns in June

Well I didn't get quite as much done as I hoped to, but there were several things that happened this year beyond my control - the move to England, being that! Who knew that I would have to pack up all my scrap goodies in July and not see them again until November? That being said, I did manage to scrap 115 pages and finish some of my goals. I hope to get right on target this year since we are settled and don't plan on going anywhere for 3 years

I will probably adjust my goal later but here's what I'm starting with for 2010. Also I'm a bit of a hermit in the winter, this should be the time I get lots of crafting done.
I have found getting online for me is like opening Pandora's box. There is so much info out there. I want to try everything! I want to learn Digi scrappin. I have stayed away from Digi but I really have to conquer that.I want to do more albums and mini's for gifts or to sell? I am lovin all things vintage right now. I want to learn more techniques so I can do more altered art.I have to start sewing again.I want to learn to quilt. okay rambling.

GOALS:
scrap booking 30 per mo./365 year
cards 20 per mo./ 240 year
altered item 1 per week/ 52 year
sewing 2 per month/ 104 year
weight 155. -25lbs/ 130 lbs
go green proj: 4 per mo./ 48 year

I shooting for at least 3 months and then will adjust accordingly.tfl.
How did we do? I can't say reached all my goals but, I did try many new things and learned a lot.
scrapbooking: definitely scrapped 365+ pages but, only 200 or so were for my personal albums. I sold a few and did several gift albums. I sadly was very lazy about taking pics before giving them up.
cards: I also made a bunch of cards. I didn't keep up with my card goal at all. Most were made last minute to give with gifts, or bundled to be given away to family and OWH.
Altered items: I think this is the area that I learned the most. I tried several new techniques. Let just say Modge Podge is now a good friend.
Sewing: This is my trade sew I easily could have reached this goal right? NOOOOOT! I did sew more than I expected but I only got as far as cutting pcs. for said quilt.
weight: I stayed on the weight loss roller coaster. I currently weigh 165lbs. Yes that is 10+ up from last year:(
Green: I rocked the green goal!!!! I did my SIL wedding favors, several mini albums, jewelry, and clothing. Many projects on my list.

All in all did not stay on track with the numbers. I found it harder for me to reach the "super easy"(unrealistic) goals I set. However I do still agree writing down my goals and planning does work if you stay on task.;)

Tam I think you did a great job, the fact that you at least attempted to reach your goals is the important part. Can't wait to see your projects for this year.

I am afraid of altered items, lack of know how, resources, focus, time, so I am in awe of those who whip them out, I think they are amazing and I would love to devote more energy to them as they would be great gifts especially for parents/grandparents who truly have everything at this point. I really want to work on albums for them next year, it's the best gift I can give, but we shall see if I can pull it off!

A Little Birdie Told Me

I haven't scrapped in over a year and this is a great way to get myself back into the groove. Count me in for 10 pages a month for a total of 120 pages. :p

Hi ladies!
I am very new to scrap booking. I have been a card maker for about 10 years and a SCS member for 3 years. I made one page a year ago and never got back to it. I now have gone through all the pictures in our house (I think) and took out those of my DD who is 20.
Here is my goal: To complete her scrap book in 2011, which should involve making 12 - 24 pages. Wish me luck! ;)

Ok - well I've decided to at least do 120 pages for the year - 10 pages per month, but I hope to blow this goal out of the water and also do some altered projects along the way.

Thanks to the legend that is WENDELLA247, I can finally reply to this thread. Many thanks Wendy. I am recently new to SCS (Jan 2011) and have been scrapbooking for a couple of years now. After many days of reading all the wonderful challenges that people have set for themselves, I am truly inspired and I am going to set myself a goal of 10 layouts per month/120 year, with a couple of altered projects per month as well.

Ok - I've got some more things that I would like to include in my yearly goal! Besides the 150 pages, I would also like to do 2 mini albums and alter a wooden advent calendar (before Christmas 2011!). I am also going to make yet another December Daily album if anyone is interrested in joining me

oops - I forgot to add at least 25 Christmas cards as well.
