Are the scor mats self healing, what exactly do they do, I don't have one are they required?

Default Scor Mats

Not sure about self-healing. I saw it advertised to use on the top of scorpal as a work surface. You can turn the mat over & use with glue/glitters, etc, and then wipe clean. I finally found one at Archivers & used one of their 30% coupons on it. --Pat from Indiana

The Scor-Mats are self-healing on one side..that is the side with the grid on it. The other side is shiny and is great for working on it. I bought mine for my Scor-Pal which I bought last year and it is fabulous. Before I bought the mat I had to remove my Scor-Pal from the table..now I can leave it sitting put right infront of me and after I am done scoring on my Scor-Pal I simply put the Scor-Mat in and get to town. The ink and glitter and stuff comes right off (I have some wet wipes on my shelf just for that purpose. A while back I had an accident with some Maya Road Mist(it was all over the place and even it came right off) When you get doublesided tape on it, well that is a little different story....it is not as easy to get off with just a wet wipe so I got some "Goo Be Gone" and it usually comes off with it. I LOVE my Scor-Mat!

Default Post-it Note Holder Tutorial

Hi all!

Tis' the season to pull out the Scor-Pal!!

Here's some pictures of a cute Post-it note holder I made using the Scor-Pal. I also have a tutorial on my blog -

Post-it Note Holder Tutorial

It's part of a blog hop so just scroll down.

We made these several years ago at a SU! workshop, but that was before the Scor-Pal even existed. It was pretty easy to adapt it to the Scor-Pal and now I can make them so much quicker!

That was very cool. I'll have to make one. I think I will just use Velcro as a closure.

I just wanted to share a simple tutorial. It's an vellum/acetate window pocket w/insert. It measures 6 x 4 1/2". It's great for recipes.

I finally found a shop near me that stocks scor-pal. I went straight round there today when I found it on their website. Thank goodness they open on Sundays. I could only get the metric one as they were out of the imperial and I just couldn't wait another few weeks until they re-stocked. Off to play with my new toy now.

I am so guilty of buying tools I don't need but my Scor-Pal is the one tool that I simply cannot live without. I don't fold a card without first scoring it on my Scor-pal. It makes 'assembly-line card-making' a breeze since I make all my Christmas and birthday cards. Here are links to three of my projects:

I bought a metric scor pal first as we are metric in Australia but found there weren't as many projects out there and was hard (probably just me) to convert so I bought the imperial one a while after that and truth to tell I use them both.
Metric when I"m doing my stuff as it's easy for day to day measurements that I use and imperial mostly for all those other projects out there that so many people have shared ............. in the end totally up to you but check out what shared projects are out there and on this forum is a good place to start.

You'll love it whichever way you decide to go, they're great!

There are a lot of easel cards out there being made...I thought I would do a few and add a little texture to the background at the same time...all using the scor-pal (and scor-bug). Here is my completed card http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...&ppuser=203115

Here's a project I made for Lizzie Anne Designs using my Scor-Pal. And I must say...I <3 my scor buddy! I got it to travel, but I use it just as often at home! Thanks so much for these great tools!

I am looking for a tall thin box for a tall packet of cocoa. I saw these cute Halloween ones at M's but haven't been able to locate directions on how to make a box to cover it and do a window so the cute Halloween girl shows through...any one know of something?

I finally found a template for the box I wanted. I was looking in the gallery when I got tired and finally Googled it. Hope to see if I can figure out Scor Pal dimensions using this template!

I had a chart that listed the measurements for several kinds of card, envelopes, their cut paper size, and the scoring marks. I think it may be the PDF that is listed on the Scor-pal web site. No matter what I do, I can't seem to be able to pull up the PDF. Does anyone know where I could find another version of this chart? I have messed up my chart and want to make a new copy. Thanks!

Thanks for sending the link for the tutorial. That works great, but what I wanted to find was the chart that listed all the details for different card envelope sizes.

The chart that I have has standard greeting A2, gift card, note care, long note, love note, pocket note, etc, listed. For each card it lists the length and width of each original card, what length and width to cut the paper, and where to score the paper for each, in order to create an appropriately, sized envelope. I could just recreate the same chart from my messed up one, but I thought someone would have the original chart, or could direct me to where I could find the chart.

Does anyone know what chart I am talking about? There seems to be a link on Scor-Pal's web site, but I can't open it. I'm not sure that is what I am even looking for, but I can't be sure, since I can't open the link. Any help would be appreciated!

There is a PDF entitled "Basics" that has tons of directions and measurements for boxes, envys, nugget boxes and lots more. Could that be it? IF so, it is under the far right tab - Basics - on the scor-pal site.
