I just realized why Diana invented the Buddy as I put it into the five inches of clear space on my desk to finish a card..........................
Too funny. Isn't it amazing that in spite of the fact that our work area may range anywhere from two feet to ten feet, we all end up stamping in a little space large enough to lay the card down on! Your post made me laugh out loud!
OH MY STARS! I guess I'm doing better than I thought in my little space. If I got down on the floor I'd have to wait till my husband came home from work to help me UP!!!

I hear you! I sometimes sit on the floor to go through my stacks of DP, like last night when I was looking for just the right Christmas paper. If I sat on the floor to make a project, I would be in the hospital after that long! LOL
As far as my stamping table goes, I was just telling the girls at stamp club the other day that sometimes it gets so messy that I can't stamp and then I have to clean it off. It has just about reached that point now. Did make a Christmas card last night but had to shuffle stuff around to do it!

I am so glad I am not the only one also. I won't let the grandkids in there because I don't want them wrecking havoc. Anyone that sees it probably thinks I'm nuts cuz it looks like I shove them in there and tell them to have at it. I was just thinking last night, I need more storage, I can't ever find anything. Where would I put it if I did get more!
How true! Normally my desk is pretty good, but the last few months I've had trouble finding room. That was the final factor in my decision making. I have the big one, but need some more scoring slots so I was debating the Martha Stewart one. I went with the Scor-Buddy when I was having too much trouble squeezing the big one on the table.
You know it is bad when you use the top of the printer to lay things on. I don't have one square inch available in a room that I USED to share with my husband as an office. He no longer is an accupant. He occaisonally uses the 2nd computer to access his email and asks that I keep the space in FRONT of the computer clear and I keep promising I will and I keep breaking that promise.(Often because it is the ONLY clear space in the room I am going to have him read this post so he won't think it is only ME that has a workspace like this. I feel so validated by reading this post that I am not the only one who tries to make a card in a 6x6 space!
Joyful, you have a 6 x 6 space? I am so jelous. LOL Sometimes I have to leave my craft room just to find a space to work on. Then go back and forth to get things. Thank God I have a door on that room.

You know, those folks who make the Scor-Buddy and Scor-Pal know us pretty well. Why else would they have also invented a workspace that fits on top of the piece? Let's see a show of hands for all of you who have that cutting mat/workboard that fits on top? (My hand is up!)
I have mats for both, LOL! Mind I use my quilt rulers with it for cutting. Soon I will be back to a normal workspace. I just packed everything up for my Christmas card sale on Saturday.
Someone needs to start a thread on how to keep organized while crafting because all of us seem to have a problem putting things back as we get done with something. LOL I just need a craft room organizer to come in every week.
OMG Ladies, who can be crafty and organized? I have a desk and a 7 foot table to work with and they are both full, looked great when I first sent it up, then I started crafting and organization went out the window, (which is right over the table) LMAO. So I use the floor too. Talk about being CRAFTY )
These are all so funny and I can relate to all of them! My husband of 47 yrs. just shakes his head and wonders how I can find anything. I have my work desk, two 6ft. tables and more and I still end up working in this one little space! I have one of those self-healing mats that are about 20 x 30 inches and only about a ft. in the middle is dirty from stamping, etc. What is a girl to do!
Thank God for all the company. I thought I was the only card maker to work in such a small space. I do have a craft room but I cardmake on a small table and move things around to make some space to stamp, finally discovered if I set up the cutting board in the kitchen with a stamping only space it works fine. Now if I can only keep it this way. I returned score maker because I could not justify room for it.
I have a work room that I used to use,it is now a store room.It has a large table that is covered with piles of A2 card and various boxes of stuff waiting to be put away when I can find room. My shelves are full and I do know (more or less) where everything is. I work on the dining room table and I have to clear every thing away in order to eat. As I am on my own I sometimes (frequently) eat from a tray on my lap. Am I normal I sometimes ask myself. Reading your letters I think I must be and I am happy.
In my room not only are the two tables full but the path to get to the one I work on is just that a path. I tend to sit everything on the floor surrounding me! My scraproom is a disaster. After Christmas I am going to have a major clean out. Your post made me laugh!

This sounds just like my craft room. Hubby has finally agreed that I can take over the other spare bedroom as it is bigger so I will have even more space to make a mess in lol.
I am fairly new to stamping, and even I have no space, anywhere. I am happy to know that will never change, no matter how many times I promise myself to get organized and 'cleaned up'
You are lucky, my husband wouldn't be able to find me or hear my muffled pleas for help. After shuffling away paper debris, CSI would be called in to check the bones and a big oily (fat) spot. Oh, the joys of old age!
We have a two story house and we have a flat screen TV upstairs. We spend more time downstairs in the winter because we have a wood stove downstairs. Long story short we bought another TV a couple of days ago to replace the ds tv. It was in a beautiful cabinet. My husband (his idea) made shelves to go inside for me to have more storage for my stuff! It closes up so you can't see it. He is so sweet to me even after 35 years of marriage.
My buddy arrived in todays mail--not sure I will ever use the other one again--have always loved my pal but this little guy is so handy. Going to see if I can squeeze it on my desk somewhere. (Dreamer)
