Anni-VERVE-sary 2012 Challenges Day 4

5 Attachment(s)
Hello Verve Fans!! Welcome to Day 4 of our Anni-VERVE-sary challenges!

We’re celebrating 5 wonderful years of Verve and are so excited to share our new release with you! To kick the party off, every day this week we’ll post a fun new challenge for you. Today, Tosh and I are hosting a CAS Challenge! That's right. . .Clean and Simple is the name of the game! So, whatever Clean and Simple means to you, we'd LOVE to see it!

Be sure to take a close look at our samples, because you just might see some super sneaky peeks of what’s releasing later this month! You’ll have until 5PM Eastern on Friday, August 24 to complete the challenge and upload your creations with the provided keywords. We’ll draw a random winner from each challenge gallery to win a special prize package of new stamps and dies! Winners will be announced at our release party that night (you don’t need to be present to win).

But that’s not all! Play along in all 5 of the challenges and then link your creations up in the Release Champions thread for a chance to win our entire new release (a $300+ value)! To be eligible, creations must be new (posted 8/13 or later) and you must make 5 total projects (no combining of challenges, please). Verve stamps are not required but we sure do love to see ‘em!!!

When loading to SCS, use the KEYWORD: VSAVS12D
Click here to view the VSAVS12D Challenge Gallery

Many thanks to Divas Teresa, Maureen, Laurie and fellow host Tosh for their GORGEOUS samples for this challenge! Thanks Girls!!

Really love the sample cards girls and really enjoyed making my little card too :)

Hope y'all like it, laters!

hey, I realized that my card for today's spotlight hop is pretty CAS as well! I hope I don't offend anyone with my long thread ends...I was on a forum last month about trends and someone said they "hated" loose thread ends!! LOL...I love them :)

Sian, you are too funny! I didn't do these challenges in order either! Sometimes when I get too "organized" I have to do something non-linear to balance myself! LOL

hey, is that "laters" like "laters, baby..." if you've read certain books, you'll know what I mean ;)

Shoot...CAS usually take me longer than detailed cards. I can never seem to get the balance right. If I can do it, I know you can!! :)

I have read THE books! It wasn't intended as a quote, me and my friends have always said laters! I never noticed the correlation - ha ha! Maybe I'll have to stop saying it, just in case people think I'm 'that way'!! ;)

I'm glad that even an established diva doesn't do the challenges in order! Thank you for the support Moe! :)

Oh my, if this weren't a challenge for an amazing prize, not sure I could have done it. I have a super hard time with the "less is more" philosophy. But hopefully my card comes across as clean and elegant, and not sparse. It helped to use my very favorite flower stamps from Great Friend. They look anything but simple to me.

Just Because

Oh, I'm thrilled to see a CAS challenge! Thank you! Here is my creation.

I must be WAY out of the loop. . .what book? Of course, my little ones don't allow me much reading time. I'm happy I can at least get stamping done! :)

Thank you!!!! Very nice challenge. Here's my card with envelope: Party card

I think you NEED to read THE books! We were talking about Fifty Shades of Grey ;) I would hate for you to eat into your stamping time to read them though, so now I'm torn! Read them in bed, then you can still spend the same amount of time in your craft room - sorted! ;)

May I suggest you get the trilogy before you start the first book, otherwise there's the possibility that you'll get to the end of a book and not have the next installment on hand, and that would just not do! :)

Enjoy!!

LOL, adult reading ONLY! All 3 books are at Costco (at least in Canada ;) Sian, you've been making me giggle with your comment signature on my blog ;)

laters, back at ya!

rositagustafson72 08-19-2012 08:44 PM

I am on the 3rd book. I am glad I got it on my kindle, because as soon as I got done with each book, no mater the time of day, I could just download them as I finished a book. :)

Later's Baby.....

Sian 08-19-2012 10:43 PM

Oh, I am old fashioned and have the actual books - I can't bring myself to get a kindle! Although, for reading these books in public it's probably a good idea as then no one would know what I was reading! Te he! But, I have no shame, I read it with the cover showing!! ;)

I'm glad I make you chuckle Moe :)

Today I plan on a Verve marathon! I'm sooo far behind and I'm determined to catch up over the next few days - wish me luck!!

Laters, babies! ;)

I guess I am spoiled with kindle, Ialways fall asleep reading and end up loosing my page and with the kindle I don't have to worry about it.

When I first got it though, it took some getting use to. I would always try to turn the page, haha.
