How about a check in of how everyone is doing on the weight loss travels?
Let see---I really re-focused this week and it had paid off...working out, really writing down what i've been eating...I'm feeling good about this...i even had a dream about losing weight and in my dream i was "sucking in my gut" and it actually MOVED- IN!!!!!
Anyway a friend of mine found out she was teetering on the edge of diabetes....and she is gung-ho about watching what she eats...
Now finding a gluten-free diabetic recipes are harder then He**. But I toldher i would go the journey with her in finding different recipes to eat...i'll keep everyone posted.
Heck even my trainer is going gluten-free and he's vegan...talk about limited food to eat
My journey is up and down and very frustrating. This summer I joined WW and was doing really well but then I joined an osteoarthritis knee pain study and I've gained back 10+ lbs that I'd lost and I have not been able to lose any of it, fortunately I have not gained any more either. I am able to be a bit more active but you'd think that if I'm able to be more active I'd lose weight but I have not been able to. I've also noticed that I have had some fluid retention, which I believe is attributed to the meds as well. If I tell the coordinator she will not attribute it to the meds but rather to the fact that I occassionally have fluid retention & this would be an episode. I'm going to take a fluid pill today and see if that helps with the retention and possibly help kick-start the weight loss again.
I love the idea of gluten-free. I'm thinking it would help clear the gut of all the stuff that needs to come out but we've been carrying around for a while.

Nope i haven't started mine yet, but i have been thinking on how to MAKE it...
like my smoothie recipe---i have a 'blender' stamp that i love to use. i have some banana paper and i think i'll put out a "dairy can" that i think i remember having...
maybe get a few strawberry brads....
i love playing with these recipe cards...i love seeing how everyones makes theirs...for myself--i love to pull some of the ingredients out and play with that...I'm ALWAYS buying food/foodie/cooking stamps...they are so much fun to play with yah know?
Plans are to start one recipe card this weekend---keeing fingers crossed....other plan is to pick up my new pair of running shoes that have come in and really hit the weight loss path...without the exercise the weight does NOT come off for me....
Linda - Sounds like you've got a plan for those cards. I love seeing how the plans in my mind come out on paper. Sometimes they are even better than what I had imagined.
I'm like you, without exercise only the smallest amount of weight comes off.

Anyone else got even a sketch start on their's? I have to admit I do not. But I also know I have another couple of months before they are due. AND I have a ton of things I need to do for work right now so I'm thinking that the money has to be earned to do the hobby. Oh to be independently rich. LOL

Okay--tried to find the strawberry brads and not happy with them...i want red not pink berries...so i found my bitty strawberry stamp, copic'ed it with red and green and did alittle glossy accents....looks good enough to eat
almost done with my first set...went faster than i had imagined.
okay found 3 more recipes...i want to try these out and then re-think my other recipes to make...one is still going to be chicken...but i'm going to try garlic chicken bake. and the other one is roasted broccoli and peppers....

Wow they sound yummy. I LOVE garlic in/with almost anything. And chicken is my meat of choice at almost any time. I have to say I like a good medium rare stead every now and then and I like some red snapper and shrimp. I would say that probably 25 out of 30 days I eat chicken. I shoudl probably cluck. LOL

life style changes have been hit or miss...frustrated there...but i will be working on another stragety---not giving up...just need to re-think my plans
i tried the roasted broccoli---it was okay but after second serving...it was too spicy for my palate...so that one was nixed
still loving the roasted kale...so that will be recipe number 2
and finally the garlic chicken was awesome--that will be recipe 3...and if i have
enough energy...i might do recipe 4....but i am just dreaming here for now...
let me get the 3 done ---
recipe one---completed....i'll up date later.....Linda
I spent all evening, until 2 this am, at my table working on 2 swaps. I got 1 finished, just need to package it and get it out and the other one is kinda kicking my bumm. I'll get it finished today but I have not crafted in so long that my mojo is very dusty and I'm having to dig through the dust to find it. LOL
So now you know what I'll be doing today. Hope your day is wonderful.
