What are your's? chili or stew when its cold outside? chicken noodle soup or chicken & Dumplins when your sick? apple pie at thanksgiving? Mom's fried chicken? Dad's ribs on the grill? An amazing salad in the hot of summer?

It's a dreary rainy day here in Georgia. Now this might sound like I'm complaining (maybe a little), but we really needed the rain! but I'd rather be at home snuggled up in a blanket ready and good book and taking a nice nap. Rain makes me want to sleep...but then after a good nap, I'll be ready to eat... It feels like a big bowl of soup day. I might just have to make some cheeseburger soup my daughter asked for this week. ****drooling*****and some nice crusty bread. Can have a great bowl of soup with out some bread to dip in the soup.
Bread that could be a comfort food even...some rye toast and butter...LOVE IT!! or pumpernickle and cream cheese! brings back memories!!
Balmerborn and Mboss-welcome! I got you down for your spots.
oh my goodness...so sorry I went MIA for two days. I was going to get back on sunday night and after my camping trip, but I woke up sunday morning with a headache that turned into a bad migraine by the time I got home and I was in bed by 8:30pm (very early for me) and yesterday I didn't stop running till about 11:00 pm when I finally crawled into bed.
so since the other day I mentioned rye bread, i've been craving a grilled cheese on rye! at work I a customer brought in some beautiful home grown tomatos...so tonight I made grilled cheese on rye with bacon, sliced tomatos and cucumbers (also home grown) and some fresh yellow squash and zuccinni cooked with butter and garlic...YUM!! dinner really hit spot. so many craving fulfilled in one sitting!
