Good morning!
How is everyone? I have a cold and have had it for 3 days so far. My DH told me to take Zinc. He says that helps him. Going to swap out one of my swaps and then make Christmas cards today.

I was flipping through TV channels and saw Anne Burrell doing a roast in a skillet!!! Perfect, right? So I grabbed paper and pen and started scribbling down the ingredients and then she said.....transfer the meat to a roasting pan and put it in the oven.... sigh. Oh, well. I guess I won't be using her recipe for this swap. (but I might have to try it anyway)

might not work for this one, but you might be able to convert it to a no stove required...electric skillet, then toaster oven.

Did you find any fun stuff or good deals at the LSS?

My stamp club had our annual Christmas party on Thursday. We do a pot luck dinner and have a $20 gift exchange. We also make a card and small handmade gift for each of the other members. I made holders for Stickles made out of short lengths of PVC pipe covered with DP. They turned out really good and everyone loved them! For my gift exchange I got an acrylic desktop calendar kit by Maya Road and mylar shimmer sheets in colors called turquoise gemstone and amethyst gemstone. Oooh so pretty!

Hmm, I wonder if anyone I know might need a desktop calendar to help keep track of all her activities? Shhhh...don't tell Kristyn. (She's my DD for those of you who didn't know that.)

yes...I got a stamp for half price. I had two others in my hand but put them back when I found a die cut I HAD to have. it was one of those...OMG I love this, but no...then walked around some more, looked at it again....walked around some more...finally put two stamps back and got it and ran to the check out before I changed my mind! LOL

I'm tempted to give the die to you for christmas, cuz I think you'll love it too. but I don't know if I can give it up or not! LOL....

I also bought a sample card...it was one I loved and even bought the stamp. so that was a fun find.

asking for some prayers...My DH goes in for surgery tomorrow. He's getting his shoulder and hand/wrist fixed for the motorcycle wreck he was in. He's very excited hoping that the pain will go aways after the surgery...me, I'm just nervous....he's got other health issues so there's always a risk...

sorry ladies I haven't been on...but doesn't look like I've missed much. I hope everyone is busy crafting and getting ready for christmas.

I've been distracted the last few days...my DH went in for hand and shoulder surgery. The surgery went well, but as expected he's having trouble sleeping...not the sleeping part but getting comfortable long enough to get a full nights rest. so far that hasn't happened. Plus it didn't help that I caught the few bug on friday so between him and being sick. I'm tired. I really want to leave work early before my class tonight and go home and take a nap! it's super quite here so I might just do that. maybe...or not I was just looking the calendar and I've good so much work that needs to be done before I take a week off...ugh...

anywhoo...Just wanted to stop in and say Hi!

Trish-Welcome. I got you down for two spots if your still in.

hey ladies...its been crazy for me the last well little while. as you know DH went in for hand and shoulder surgery...he's been driving me nuts...he's now aloud to drive...YEAH which means I don't have to drive him back and forth 45 mins each way to physically therapy 3xweek. but still going to be out of work for 12-16 weeks...so that being said I've been going to night classes for taxes. did this last year and wasn't going to do it this year, but decided we needed the extra income...so I've been swampped with that. today I went to an all day class and then spend the rest of the evening till about 5 mins ago testing!! and more testing!! I passed all the tests so I think I'm good to go...just need to practice a bit more on the program and I'll be peak ready! Mom was here this week (lois577) and it was a great visit. I felt kinda bad cuz with all the running I've been doing this month, taking this week off work I kinda just crashed! so we didn't get to craft together like I was hoping, but still spend time together and that's what's most important. What else....um...this that sums up my last few weeks. had one week of rest before the next 171 days of tax season...officially open on monday!! ACK!! I'm so not ready for 12-14 hour days!! we are going to be open till midnight this year and my DH since he's not working has agreed to let me sleep in during the week and he'll do the 6 am get the kid up for school shift that I normally do. to tell you the truth...it's the least he can do since he's not working and I'll be working for 9 to midnight every night. so ladies please know that I haven't forgotten about you...I'm most likely sleeping!! LOL but really...If I'm not on much that's why...I really don't want you all to think I've forgotten you or I'm ignoring you! I love you all!!! Big Hugs!! ok this it for now....I'll be back soon...for tax season hasn't offically started YET!

hey ladies. This swap is due very soon!! hows everyone coming along.

I will try to check in mid week. I'm officially working 13-14 hours day right now....but will be at 16 hour days soon....

if you cannot complete please PM me. I don't have time to track down everyone and wait on packages....my "free" time is very limited right now. I aplogize for all of this, I wasn't planning on doing taxes this season but needed the money since my DH is out of work right now.

happy Day everyone.
