Good morning - well the sun is not up yet - am sure that it must be morning because the roosters are crowing. But wait this is Kauai, the roosters crow all the time here!
Lol...I'm an idiot (only some days) I screwed up my swap envelopes and mailed them to myself...therefore I will be making a trip to mail them back out again tomorrow. This time I triple checked to make sure that proper envelope is on the outside
P.S. my recipe is Layered Cookie Bars

Bracing here for a week of rain,........which translates to muddy paws at my house!!! Hope you all have a great week......keep working away on this swap.....its so worth it when you see someone open their handmade recipe book!!!!! Your favorite cook/chef is going to love it!!
Have a great Sunday ...God bless!
Doing a frosty paws recipe and a pumpkin treat recipe for dogs at another swap for next Saturday, does your muddy feet friend need something good to eat?
Where to start, where to start!!! I forgot to ask, is there any sort of theme that we are going for here?
I just finished a recipe swap for a get together that I just attended and I was going to use that same idea but change the recipe. It has 2 PB hedgehogs stirring a bowl of batter.
Now to decide for my 2nd set of recipes cards... Oh boy!

Just a reminder that these are due n 17 days.......PLEASE CHECK IN (if you haven't already)!!! We are all depending on each other to make this a great cookbook as a gift or for our collection NO FLAKERS PLEASE!!
Thanks for the update Lorraine....I will be on the lookout!!
OK - update to me mailing my cards.....
I want to take them to the postal counter tomorrow and make sure I got the postage right.....I put a bunch on Monday night but now it's made me second guess myself.
So, my cards will go out tomorrow instead - better safe than have them come back to me

I did have enough postage on my envelope - I'm glad I checked though.
My cards went out in yesterday's mail.
DS and I were waiting in line to check the postage and watched 2 women be absolutely mean and evil to 2 of the postal clerks.....I actually felt sorry for the clerks. I know some people aren't happy with the postal service but taking it out on the counter people doesn't solve anything.
I can imagine it's only going to get worse with the holidays approaching.
Wishing everyone a great weekend!

2nd set has the recipe printed out, design and cards will be done this weekend (maybe even tomorrow night). Both sets will be in the mail by Tuesday the 27th, which should out them in your hands by Friday the 30th at the latest.

What do pople use to put their 6x6 recipe cards in? I haven't seen a recipe book with 6x6 holders. Just wondering so that I can look before these arrive
Michael's carries a 6x6 scrapbook that holds 20 recipes
any scrapbook 6x6 works great I think I've seen them at Joannes and I know Archivers has them also
