So what's your favorite coloring tool? Do you love Copics (like so many of us do), watercoloring, pencils, inks? I just about use Copics exclusively but I've also started to love using watercolor markers (Distress Markers) as well. It's been fun to go back to a medium that I used so many years ago.
I've never tried Copics so don't know if I like them or not. I've mainly used the LePlume markers and they're okay. But lately I've been using colored pencils. Nothing fancy, just a box I bought at WM. But I like they way they color better. Seems like I have more control over them and the results. So for now, my favorite coloring medium is colored pencils.
I use Copic markers more than any other coloring tool. I find Copic markers to be easier to get good results when I don't want to spend a lot of time coloring an image for a project. When I have the time, I like using colored pencils and blending with baby oil to get a beautiful smooth effect. But... I love my Copic Markers the best. Lots of color choices and fun to color with.
I love those Copics too...amazing coloring and blending ability!! However, the look that some achieve from the pencils is so different and I really like it...wish I was better at using pencils. Maybe that's something I need to work on...
Oh, I definitely love the look from pencils. It takes me longer to get the results I want with them. It really makes me wish I had paid a lot more attention in Art Class in school. Believe it or not, I did not like Art Class in middle and high school. Not sure what my problem was. I wish I could take classes now at a reasonable price and locally. But I am not aware of any in this area.
