Welcome everyone! I'm pleased to introduce you to our Queen for this week – Queen Karen! You may know her as k dunbrook. Even if you don't know Karen, please feel free to play along. This is a great way to get to know some of our fellow stampers.
Some ideas on how you might encourage and honour our fabulous Queen this week: Send her a Private Message, comment on the lovely cards in her gallery, post a message for her here on this thread, pick a card from her gallery to be inspired by and create a card for her. There are really “no rules”.
I'd like to take a moment to give a huge round of applause to Anne Ryan for starting this challenge. She has stepped down to take a break, and I am thrilled to keep this great challenge going.
On a personal note: I love this challenge and the chance it gives us to recognize those who play along with the challenges here and comment on other people's work. I also really appreciate those of you who participate in this challenge and are SO GREAT at leaving comments to encourage your fellow stampers. Many of you have already been honoured as Queen, and there are still so many out there who deserve this honour as well. Thanks to all of you – you make this place so special to me! Thanks also to all of you who have supported me as I have taken on leading this challenge. I appreciate all your kind words!
Congratulations, Karen! I took a quick peek at Karen's gallery. Her cards are quite amazing. I probably won't be able to get to stamping till Saturday, but I'm eager to pick a card to CASE.
Trish, thanks so much for stepping up and taking over for Anne. I look forward to seeing who the new queen is every Friday. QFTD is the challenge I participate in most consistently, and enjoy immensely. I'm eager to see the new queens you will be choosing in the next while.

Trish, thank you SO much for keeping this challenge going. I know it is a lot of work, but you are off to a GREAT start.
I was surprised to learn Karen D had not been a queen! I'm always so impressed how she personally takes the time to PM anyone whose card has been mentioned in the "CAS Favorites of the Week" thread to let them know. Her CAS cards are outstanding and inspiring. I'm still struggling to be comfortable with that genre.
Trish, thanks for being willing to keep this challenge going, you're an absolute star!! And what a great choice for QFTD53 - Karen, congratulations and a big hug to you, so excited for you, but how in the world will I be able to choose a card to CASE, there's just so many in my favs!!!!

I got this comment on my QFTD card, but I thought it should be shared here...
Congratulations to Karen for being chosen our new QFTD53 - its a whole new year, and we all thank Trish for taking over the reins to keep it going!! Anne, you will be missed at the helm, but we trust you will still be in the mix and stop in often!
Congratulations Karen! Love your gallery and hope to do a CASE later today or tomorrow.
Not only is she a great stamper, Karen is generous in her comments. On those rare times one of my cards has been on the "favorites of the week" list, Karen has even left a comment to alert me to the fact, which is a sweet and probably time-consuming pursuit considering how many cards get listed weekly.
And Trish, thanks so much for stepping up and taking over leading the challnge. As you said, there are plenty more stampers out there we can honor.
