First of all, I've been trying to think of ways to enhance participation in this challenge. One thing someone just mentioned earlier this evening was to perhaps announce the queen before Friday at Noon. Well, that's seems like a fairly logical step to take, so l'll try to post this thread on Thursday evenings before midnight EST. This can change at any moment though since work really dictates my availability.
Another thing I'd like toss out for everyone's consideration would be: I've become very busy at work and really find it increasingly difficult to continue this challenge. Is there anyone that would like to step up to the plate to assume the challenge? Even a team effort might work really well. Please think about it and if you have the time, I would be most grateful to be able to turn the ropes over to someone else.
As long as I'm speaking about time, I will acknowledge I have not yet had time to determine who the QFTD32 Whimsy Stamp winner is. Hopefully, I will be able to do that sometime before Saturday night. I will make that announcement in the QFTD32 gallery, so please look there.
Without further ado, I'll cut to the chase this week. Our lucky and gifted Queen for the Day is none other than Hilda, aka Broom. We all know her and we all love her works of art and her persuasion toward poetry! C'mon down, girl, and let Bobby Barker and Vanna White place that beautiful crown on your head so fair and that red velvet cloak around your shoulders.
I've actually spent the past few weeks crafting in anticipation of this big day so the gallery is now open. Come, bring your congratulatory wishes and cards to our sweet and very special Broom.
Hilda, I'm ecstatic that you have been chosen the SCS's 33rd Queen For The Day! I encourage you to just take a break this weekend and enjoy all the cards I know will be coming your way as our new QFTD! Congratulations, Hilda.
There is no contest this week. I didnt have time to think about that before starting this thread. Remember to check out the QFTD32 gallery for the Whimsy Stamp winner!
Have fun everyone!

OMG! What an awesome surprise! I'm (almost) speechless, and those of you who know me know that seldom happens! I logged on and saw Carla's card there in the top row and almost lost my coffee. I'm just about ready to hop on my broom and fly off to yoga class, so I'll wait until I get back home to check out everyone's cards. Can't wait!
Thanks Anne, for including me in the ranks of such gifted stampers. I'm truly honored and humbled. Thanks to everyone for all your sweet comments and sharing your incredible talent. The camaraderie of the stampers on Splitcoaststampers is second to none.

Anne, I think this early posting is wonderful. I hated waiting!!!! I can see how this can become time consuming and all our lives are busy and busier at times. I'm glad your work is picking up - that must be a good sign. Maybe you could toss out requests for guest hostesses, like the other challenges. Whatcha think?
Anne, I love the move to Thursday night. I do think it will increase participation.

I chose your gorgeous Medallion Ornament card to case and switched it up to make this card in your honor!

Congratulations, Hilda! You have such a wonderful gallery. It was so difficult to decide what to pick. I changed the colors, but followed the layout and used the same stamp and sentiment. Here is my card. Enjoy all the cards in your honor!
Hilda, congrats again - you have such a gorgeous gallery! I picked this card to do a second card in your honor. I kept your layout (except the bottom corner tabs) and changed the color. Here is my card. Enjoy!
