Take Ten: Creating Great Cards in Ten Minutes or Less
Hi everyone! My name is Amber and I am the managing editor for Stampington & Company's Take Ten. I'd like to invite all of you to submit your cards for publication. It's really quite easy, just follow the Submission Guidelines on our Web site, stampington.com. We publish cards of all shapes, sizes, and themes, so send in whatever you've made. I am also always looking for quick and easy stamped gifts and masterboards. Thanks so much!
This is something I've always wanted to do but just haven't gotten around to it yet!
Is there a notification process where the contributor is told whether a given card is accepted or rejected (so that perhaps it could be submitted to another publication?) I ask because I once submitted 2 cards to a magazine and never heard anything at all back from them. This was maybe 4 yrs ago and I'm still wondering if it's ok to send copies of the cards to another place.
I invite you to check out my signature/blog to see some samples of my cardmaking style. I don't do any "altered art" at all, it just doesn't turn me on. Would my style be something Take Ten might find acceptable for its readers, I wonder?

Reason: Minor adjustments, couple of typo's.
Do they need to be new cards (never uploaded online) or can existing things be submitted? It doesn't specify.
they can be shown previously on line- yes.
This publication requires you to mail them in, so you won't necessarily will know until the mag shows up whether it's in or not. They are working on trying to set up email notifications at some point to help with this.
Love Take Ten - It's a great format. I have a couple things in mind for the Aug 1 deadline - Variation of a theme and the sketch challenge. Would love to see my work in Take Ten! I had better get busy!
i have been published in Take Ten and you are 'notified' when you are compensated by a magazine showing up in the mail Sometimes it can be months after the submission. Still a thrill to see your name and work in a magazine.
Thanks for the invite, Amber! I have submitted and been published a few times in the distant past but then lost track of the submissions deadlines. Thanks for the reminder, I will go see if I still have time to get something submitted...there is NOTHING and I do mean NOTHING like the thrill of being published!
