*Inspired by the interactive cards in the March 2008 Paper Crafts magazine*
I liked Nichole Heady's Secret Wish Card using a pre-made 'Secret Keeper Card by Urban Lily' (shown on pg 90).
So ... I decided to try and make a card that had the same type of slider action
... and this is the result! ;)
For this type of slider card - the sides of the card move apart to reveal the inside pocket and sentiment. I used a brad and made a slider track on each side of the inside pocket for the card to slide open and closed on. The brad and slider track remain hidden when the sides are pulled open.
Thanks for the kind comments ~ I was so excited that some of you asked for a tutorial!!
This is my first attempt at making a tutorial, so if I've forgotten any details, or you have any questions, please feel free to PM me! Also, if you make a Secret Slider Card ~ I would love to see it!!
See post # 8 for instructions in .pdf format ~ Thanks, shirolives!
** See post #22 for new .pdf Tutorial and post #23 for new .doc Tutorial **
The new Tutorial has additional pictures and more detailed instructions for assembly of the slider
Thank you! Thank you! You are the best, i knew if i looked here i would find something, i loved the card in the march issue as well. You did a wonderful Job!
Thanks for the tutorial. I can't wait to try it. TFS

I love your tutorial, thank you for taking the time to post it! I can't wait to try it out and I think I will use it for my club card in March! Thanks for the great idea!
Love this card, but having trouble understanding the instructions, is there an easier discription of how this is done, I'm new at this so it's a learning curve I'm on, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Diane

Hi, Diane ~ I will PM you with some additional pictures that might make it a little easier to understand
I tried to follow the PDF tutorial but am having problems understanding. I tried for over an hour to make it work. If you have more detailed instructions, I would really appreciate a copy. Thanks - love the card!

Thank you for sharing this tutorial (it is brilliant!!) about the secret slider card! I just received a pack of Urban Lily Secret Slider Crads in the mail from a very dear friend of mine. I wasn't too sure how to decorate them so I went to SCS & found YOURS! What a great job you have done with the card & the tutorial! Once I have used all my cards I now know how to make my own! Thank you so much!

We tried this (and the new directions rock) - but had trouble with the brads lying flat enough so the sides could stick together. One of my friends trimmed the inside back piece a little smaller and it seemed to work better.
