Welcome to all the new members. It's so much fun to see where everyone is from. There are towns mentioned that I've never heard of before. And of course many of them I have.

I saw that the Bind It All was mentioned. Any opinions on whether or not that is a good buy and what would you use it for other than mini albums. Thks in advance for any info you might have.

Hi Becky from La Crescent. We have some things in common. My husband is from Rollingstone which is about 10 minutes from Winona which is also across from LaCrosse. So we go that way quite a bit. And have to go into town to do anything! How far are you from Winona? That corner seems to be big dirt race fans - is that true with your neck of the woods? Is Lincoln the school you graduated from? I grew up in Richfield, the class after the big Lincoln break up. One of my best friends is from the class after yours. She doesn't even go to the Kennedy class reunions - she goes to the Lincoln undergrad reunion or whatever they call it (the ones that were displaced). I also worked at Target during and after HS and had a lot of Lincoln friends and co-workers. It really is a small world isn't it!

Where in Richfiled did you live? And did you go to Richfield High School?

Yep, RHS. I lived along 494 and Xerxes, the last housing area on the west side of the freeway, but not on the service road. My parents still live there. Mom was hoping they'd buy out the property for more development but that obviously hasn't happened. The kids wave to the house everytime we drive by.

I worked with someone from Little Falls. Don't they have a big art fair/craft show there every year? She took a bunch of us there a couple of times, long ago.

The cabin is on Ponto Lake just off Hwy 84 (halfway between Longville and Pine River). I'm so ready for cabin season!

Have you been to the scrapbooking/stamp store in Pequot Lakes or the one in Nisswa? The one is Pequot Lakes is quite large and well stocked! The one is Nisswa isn't just stamping and it's crowded but they have some really cute things. I'm looking forward to doing some shopping again this summer while in the area.

Please do get in touch if you come to Duluth.

My Grandmother grew up in Swanville so I'm familiar with Little Falls and the area.

Hello all of you fellow Minnesotans, I just found this thread, it's fabulous! My name is Holly and I live in Cottage Grove, just SE of St. Paul. I am very new to stamping and am extremly addicted. I love SCS and all of the inspiration that I have gotten from everyone. Looking forward to meeting all of you and would love to do a swap if one is planned in the future. Also would love to join the birthday thing that is going on. Sorry I don't have all of the lingo down yet.

Hello everyone.
I'm in St. Michael, MN - just a bit north of the twin cities. I would love to be involved in a Minnesota swap, too. I'm new to SCS, but I started scrapbooking about 7 years ago and just recently became *addicted* to stamping.

I know exactly where Ponto Lake is...know that whole area. My girlfriend had the King Gallery in Longville for 22 years! We had friends that used to live on Ponto Lake. I've been to the 2 stamping/scrapping stores in Pequot Lakes but not the one in Nisswa. I also frequently check out the one in Baxter when I'm visiting my daughter.
Have a great summer at your cabin and shopping! Will do when in Duluth!

I know where lake Ponto is!!!! My grandparents had a cabin there and I spent many, many weeks there in the summers when I was a kid. I believe they were on the south side of the lake. I miss it up there! And the ice cream shop in Longville for a triple dip!

Hi Monica,

I have to tell you that your avatar is so cute, but when I first looked at it I thought it was a fish lol! We love CG, we have lived here a little over three years. Our oldest son just started preschool and we have heard nothing but good things about the schools.

Hi Holly, I grew up down the hill from Park. I started at Hillside. Unfortunately, since the junior high at that time was not accessible, I had to go to Woodbury for 7th and 8th. I made some good friends there too. CG has changed so much!
There were only a few houses on the otherside of Jamaca Ave. at that time.

Happy Spring fellow Minnesotans. I just stumbled accross this blog, and I'm sorry I missed out back in November. I'm from Maplewood, MN. I've been a demonstrator for five years....and I'm still addicted to stamping!
Would any of you ladies happen to know how you go about finding/buying those adorable Bella stamps I'm seeing on SCS lately?

welcome!!

as for the bellas, you can order them online at www.stampingbella.com

They are pretty reasonable. The ship from Canada, so it takes a couple weeks to arrive, but they are worth the wait.

Good Morning Ladies! What a beautiful spring day!

So how many are anxiously awaiting the new SU catalog July 1st? I am ready and waiting - I have 50 on the retiring list, not including hostess sets and SAB sets that will not be in the new catalogs. And of course there is no telling about mini catalog sets...I can't wait to see all the new stamps and accessories. Is it July yet?

How was the gathering in April? I was sad to miss it. Please do share!

Have a fantastic day all.

Beth, I cannot remember actually going to the turtle races, but have heard of them talked about...hmmm, maybe I should ask my sister if she remembers.

I love it up north, we go camping up near McGregor now-a-days on Big Sandy, but don't get over to Pine River much. And I always have some stampin' project with me camping.

Welcome, Susan. The MN birthday swap is a group from this forum who decided to commit to sending a birthday card to everyone on the list for a year. I think there are 27 people, so each person gets 26 cards for her birthday!

Hey vikkijo what days do you work at Cassidy's? Now that tax season is done, I am back working at Kids Quest at the casino. I'll try to stop in to meet you sometime.

Also, welcome to all the new ladies! I don't have the internet at home, so I'm not on too often anymore!

Hi Susan,
Yes! There were actually 29 dedicated ladies that signed up for this swap! It goes for a whole year. On each person's birthday, the other 28 people send them a hand stamped birthday card. I've already had my birthday and I can vouch that you will receive a BUNCH of wonderful cards!! I was so impressed!! I will start taking a sign up for next year the early part of December.

Ah man, I missed the sign up sheet as well. My birthday is in December, maybe I'll be lucky enough to make it on this years list?

Hey vikkijo...Cassidy's, really? My sister-in-law works at Toby's. She's been there about 8 years now. Next time I'm in Hinckley, I'll stop by to see if you're working

Wow! I just found this thread! I'm from MN too so I'm subscribing. I am also very interested in this MN birthday club thing you have going on. I would love to be a part of that.
I, too, am very excited for the new SU catty to come out. I have been a demo since 1996! WOW, that's a long time - I had to stop and think about that a bit.
I live in Elk River, MN. My DH and I met in Cloquet, so we go up to visit often. We go through Hinkley, too. I will have to stop in and visit vikkijo too! We also go through Mora occasionally, hmmm. May have to check out this "tiny" stamp store!
Thanks for starting this thread - I can't wait to see what MN people are up to!
