Default Photo Challenge ~ 154 ~ Think Pink {04/17/2012}

I was surprised to discover recently that we hadn't had Pink as a colour challenge. I've been really enjoying all the cherry blossom and magnolia here recently. I have a couple more photos, but fell and hurt my arm, so I haven't been on the computer much.

Photo Challenge 153 'Kids Stuff'. We have had a challenge that was very similar....#66m'Through a child's eyes'. I've just spent a week with my grandsons, so have lots of photos on this subject. What do you see kids doing, what are the latest toys or interests?
Photo Challenge Rules:
~ Have FUN with this! There are no right or wrong photos.
~ Take as many pics as you want, share the few you like best.
~ Please share only current photos, taken after the challenge was issued.
~ We CANNOT upload our photos to the SCS galleries. You may upload them as an attachment or host them from your blog or any online photo hosting site. Just provide the direct link to the photo in your post and also make sure that it is not from a password protected album.
~ Just a reminder that we are a family-friendly site if you are sending others off this site to view photos in an album hosted elsewhere.
~ Please jump in and join us in the photo challenges at any time!

Cherry blossom down the road
Viburnum
Pots of Pink paint - the reason I thought we might have done pink, but then I remembered that I'd taken this for a "P" challenge.

I don't have much pink at all in the house, so if I can find some I'm sure you can too! Let's see what you find...

Sabrina....what a coincidence! The cherry blossoms are out in the park in Toronto. I am cheating only a little bit, as these photos were taken on Saturday. Oops.....I'm trying to upload my pictures, but my daughter made me change my camera settings and now the pictures have too many pixels for my computer to handle. I have made a few photos smaller, but I don't have a photo program, so I think it will be hard to see these. Here goes.....

I must tell you....pink is far from my favourite colour, so I don't have much in my house that is pink. However, when I found out my DD was expecting, I started to crochet a pink blanket. As soon as I found out it was a boy, I laid it aside. I will finish it someday! I also took a couple of shots in my flowerbed. The tulip is a deep shade of pink, but definitely not red, as I also have red tulips in that same bed. I so enjoyed photographing the hyacinth, as it smells so heavenly!

Love the hyacinth!! Hopefully there'll be a call for the pink blanket some time . Crochet is one of those things I keep meaning to try again, I don't usually do anything more than borders on knitting, but I think it could be a lot more portable than knitting and possibly more airport friendly too.
Is that a wedding party in the first pictures from Toronto? I know we often see bridal parties in the Botanic Gardens here, I can totally understand why.

Yes, it was a wedding, but they were only photographing the bride. I did not see any bridesmaids.
I love crochet. As you say, it's much more portable than knitting and seems to work up faster for me. I do a lot of fine crocheting with number 10 thread.....snowflakes, hearts, angels, and they really work up fast!

Love all the pinks you two have submitted and I have always loved the Pink Panther but then who wouldn't. The few times I've seen anything pink, there was no place to stop to photograph. Yesterday I came home through Sedona planning on taking a picture or two of the Pink Jeeps but sun of a gun if they don't park them in back rather than in front of the tour office, bummer. Will have to just keep looking.
