Happy Easter everyone! Hope you all enjoyed a lovely weekend!
This week's challenge is inspired in part by the holiday as well as the new season again. Get out there and find some pastel colored items and play around with your camera. I for one usually find myself drawn to bolder, brighter colors but you can't ignore the pretty pastels that a popping out all over this time of year! Have a great week!
And just to repost this from last week - I'm going out of town several weekends in April and May as my dad is having some surgeries done. If anyone is interested in hosting the Photo Challenge for a weekend, just drop me a PM. I've had one taken and was just wondering if anyone else was also interested. Thanks!

A little fake flower in the kids playcenter at school...
I'm still playing around with my Canon t1i ~ saw a pretty shell while at Nags Head, NC on Wed ~ it's a beautiful pastel purple color ~ perfect for this challenge. I used my Macro preset setting ~ I'm amazed by how detailed the little grains of sand are.
I can't find any gorgeous pastels like the ribbon or candies. I've been looking all week, and all I've come up with are these paper cosmos flowers I made a few years back.
And hopefully the soft colours in the magnolia bud will count, too.
I even looked at my chalk pastels in despair, but the colours aren't all that soft.
Welcome to the photo challenges, Judi.
Jill, I love that magnolia. Most of the ones we get here are more the cup-shaped ones, it's lovely to see the big open blooms like that.
Lovely floral photos. It's still pretty bare around here, although I have some bright yellow primroses and deep purple hyacinths blooming, but they don't qualify for pastels. I did find this tulip in one of our doctors' offices as I was doing rounds this weekend.
This is my first time trying a challenge ~ I've been trying to use my camera more so these challenges will be a great help to me.
I was uploading pics of my son's birthday party and I realized that these balloons fit the pastel theme. Okay, the red's are a bit primaryish but the others are pastel.
Took this picture of a flowering bush in the backyard. It's quite tall and the flowers are on the ends of the stems. Not sure what it is called but love the color and they do have a fragrance to them.
