I can't see the thumb? Maybe something to do with the server migration.
I know exactly what toy to fish out - my 12 yo nephew was dropping hints that his 10 month old baby brother would just love it - but so do I .

Yes, I can't see the photo either. Always some glitches when there are such massive changes! Overall, other than the down time, I haven't noticed any problems after the change over.

The spelling house is about forty years old, as my dad made it for us when we were little. So some of the woodwork is a bit the worse for wear. You change the picture inside the door by pressing on the push buttons (there were several picture discs, to ring the changes) and then you matched the word to the picture, by turning the centre of the flower. When you pull the little cord, the mouse squeaks, but the only way of opening the door is by raising the arm of the little guy on the side (rings a bell) and pressing on the chimney. All in all a great educational toy, because there was manual dexterity, and memory for which for button gave you which picture when you opened the door, and many kids passing through our house have had fun with it.
The Tool Street Gang was an award-winning pre-school toy in the mid-nineties, but it never sold as well as some of the other Bluebird toys, like the Big Yellow Teapot and Big Red Fun Bus - and Polly Pocket, of course. DH and I both worked in the company that distributed them over here so when it was discontinued, I got the sample from the showroom. Kids of all ages have fun with this, and my 12 year-old nephew, with memories of his own, has dropped heavy hints that his new little brother would like it. Mr Squirt, the oil-can, had gone missing and took a while to find. I had to empty the whole Duplo bag in case visiting kids had tucked it in there, but in the end I found him elsewhere.
Extra marks for colour .

Hmmm... that was odd! It was there when I checked it after posting. But yeah maybe a moving issue. I tried again... and it looks like its there now.

Sabrina - I love those! So bright and colorful against the green grass! And that spelling house is awesome - what a keepsake! And the other set looks like so much fun! Can't believe they didn't do well!

I can't get the second photo to open. Even if I go View Image, I only get the thumb.
You had a great trip, didn't you!!

I re-loaded the photo, maybe you can view it now. It is a chess board with pieces on the board and table. The Indian festivities were a disappointment but otherwise my little weekend trip was quite enjoyable.

Ah, I see it now. I could work out the chess board and chess pieces from the thumb, but I couldn't tell that the board was carved into the table.
Sorry for the double post yesterday - I wasn't really complaining that much .

I didn't think you were complaining at all, weird things always happen on computers.

I've only seen motorbikes all painted up like that here - it's cool to see the fancy cars. (Well, we do see painted cars, but then they're advertising, not just for fun).

I'm a Lego lover and Spongebob. This little zen garden is on my desk and I get a kick out of myself thinking up these shots.

Ha, I love the Lego one. Those little figures were only barely coming in when we had Lego, we always fought over them.
