Arrow Photo Challenge #73 ~ In Five minutes time... {3-8-10}

Hello! It's finally starting to warm up here and we've been able to spend some extra time outdoors. This week's challenge in a time challenge to get you out and about as well. You can start it anywhere home, work, school, the store.... Start, walk for 5 minutes and find something 5 minutes away from your starting spot to take a picture of. Pretty simple!

Photo Challenge Rules:
~ Have FUN with this! There are no right or wrong photos.
~ Take as many pics as you want, share the few you like best.
~ Please share only current photos, taken after the challenge was issued.
~ We CANNOT upload our photos to the SCS galleries. You may upload them as an attachment or host them from your blog or any online photo hosting site. Just provide the direct link to the photo in your post and also make sure that it is not from a password protected album.
~ Just a reminder that we are a family-friendly site if you are sending others off this site to view photos in an album hosted elsewhere.
~ Please jump in and join us in the photo challenges at anytime!
~ Again - HAVE FUN!

And this week, my photo was taken by my hubby! He took my camera hostage this past weekend on a dirt biking trip. This pic is from a walk in the woods where they were racing around in.

Great challenge and a lovely photo. I think I missed the 10 minute challenge last year, so maybe I will go out and do both of them this week.

I remember taking several for the ten-minute challenge and never uploading them.
I'll try to actually upload this time .

Ten minutes from my front door! These were taken at the edge of the golf course that I live close to. The first one is of the last snowmobile tracks of the season..........the snow is melting fast, as it got up to 10 C degrees today. The second is taken from the same spot. I just turned to the right. The thistle is our town flower, but of course, the symbol doesn't look like this!

I love the light in the thistle pic.
So is this one actually 5 minutes, not ten.
I am glad our snow didn't last more than a week, that was plenty of inconvenience. We're still down to -5 some nights, but just frost is fine with me .

Yes, both photos were taken 5 minutes from my front door, at the very same spot...I just turned my body and took a few steps into the ditch to get in for a close up.
There is still lots of snow here, but we are slowly seeing brown patches. We have had wonderful sunshine for over a week now and it is melting the snow a lot nicer than usual. As a rule we get lots of rain and it gets ucky and muddy.

I took these the week of the challenge, but with being away twice I never got them uploaded. I was pretty busy with getting organised for being away, but knowing it was the first day Farmleigh was open again, I made time to have a quick walk after shopping and the library.
The lake view was 5 minutes walk from where I park the car - I had to remember to walk the opposite way to usual, so that the sun was behind me .
And the other photo was taken after 5 minutes rambling in the walled garden.
