Arrow Photo Challenge #72 ~ Geometric Shapes {2-28-10}

Again, I apologize for missing last week, I don't even want to say it but we've had more computer trouble! I'm so ready to chuck this baby! If only the wallet would allow for that.

This week's challenge is to find a shape - any geometric shape that's presented to you in an interesting fashion! Cubes, spheres, cones, pyramids, cylindars...

Photo Challenge Rules:
~ Have FUN with this! There are no right or wrong photos.
~ Take as many pics as you want, share the few you like best.
~ Please share only current photos, taken after the challenge was issued.
~ We CANNOT upload our photos to the SCS galleries. You may upload them as an attachment or host them from your blog or any online photo hosting site. Just provide the direct link to the photo in your post and also make sure that it is not from a password protected album.
~ Just a reminder that we are a family-friendly site if you are sending others off this site to view photos in an album hosted elsewhere.
~ Please jump in and join us in the photo challenges at anytime!
~ Again - HAVE FUN!

Here are my spheres! Oh how I can't wait for SPRING!

Please don't tell me your photo was taken this week where you live, when we still have bundles of snow!
So sorry for your computer problems..........there's nothing more frustrating!

O.K. these are pointed cylindrical shaped, or maybe a very narrow triangle! Took this photo yesterday, so you can see how much winter we still have!

Cherry blossom - oh wow!!! And I though it was spring-like here. Not like that, it isn't.
At least we're not quite those icy triangles either, though we had more snow last week.

Sorry about your computer woes, Angie- I remember last summer when I was nursing mine to keep it going till I could get a new one. Not fun...

Angie - Love the cherry blossoms, they are beautiful...It's been snowing here all day.

Ina - The icicles are great...You really do have a lot of winter left!

I found it hard to be sure what was meant by presented in an interesting fashion.
Anyway, here goes with my top 3 picks from various pictures I took through the week.

Moorhen in a fender on a longboat - circle, and with the reflection, a figure of eight. It's obviously a favourite perch, we saw another one there this afternoon, but there was more wind and the reflections weren't so good.

Chimney pots on a house across from the stop in town where I get the bus home - cylinders.

Light in windows in a disused building in work. I'm calling this triangles, because it totally reminded me of the icon on the exposure compensation button on the camera, with black and white triangles and + and - signs .

Great challenge Angie, how do you keep coming up with fresh ideas?

I love the modern shape of these buildings in Las Vegas. More photos from the same visit on my BLOG today. Thanks for taking time to peak!
