Arrow Photo Challenge #67 ~ Vanishing Points {1-10-10}

Hello everyone! Hope your first week of the new year has been grand! Our challenge this week is to find a Vanishing Point in our photos. A basic definition of a vanishing point is a point at which parallel lines appear to converge in the distance. Think roads, paths, tall buildings... You may also want to peek in on PC # 38 ~ Leading Lines as it is somewhat along the same idea as this. Have a wonderful week!

Photo Challenge Rules:
~ Have FUN with this! There are no right or wrong photos.
~ Take as many pics as you want, share the few you like best.
~ Please share only current photos, taken after the challenge was issued.
~ We CANNOT upload our photos to the SCS galleries. You may upload them as an attachment or host them from your blog or any online photo hosting site. Just provide the direct link to the photo in your post and also make sure that it is not from a password protected album.
~ Just a reminder that we are a family-friendly site if you are sending others off this site to view photos in an album hosted elsewhere.
~ Please jump in and join us in the photo challenges at anytime!
~ Again - HAVE FUN!

What a fun challenge. I just happened to take these yesterday morning on our the way to church!

First picture is of the road leading into the cemetery (the road we are on deadends into the cemetery entrance). The next picture is the road we turn onto but is further down on the road the picture was taken. And the last picture is the church road. We only have to take four roads and we are at church. Forgot to mention that these were taken out from the front of the van windshield and only the cemetery one were we at a stop.

First of all...love your shots!
Secondly: you have 4 1/2 hours long church?

I am usually really good at not posting older photos.
And I did take my first photo this morning, looking up the river on the way to work. It's the first sunny day for a long time - it was lovely to see reflections in the water again.
But I just can't help sharing a couple of photos from the weekend. It's so rare for us to have this much snow. One photo is looking up the canal - it was almost totally frozen over. The other is a little wooded lane that I use as a shortcut when I walk to the shopping centre.

I guess a whole load of my snow photos would have worked for *Through a Child's Eyes*, but I hope to play catch-up on that tomorrow.

Did you take these with the fuji finepix you mentioned in a different thread? They are beautiful!

Gorgeous photos so far, ladies! Sabrina, I love all your shots. Here are a few I took. The first is of some little animal tracks going off into the bushes.......I think they were squirrels, although there were also deer tracks around. Second one is more animal footprints over the snowmobile trail near my house. The third photo is of the walking trail on the old abandoned railway tracks in town, and you can just see the water tower in the distance.

This was a hard one for me - that is good, now I know an area I really need to work on

This was taken yesterday up my street - a fog has settled in for the past three days and I feel like I live in Forks, waiting for the vamps to come creeping out of my woods any min now

Your first photo reminds me a bit of Oak Alley in New Orleans.
