Here are two sparkly and shimmery pics that I took at my parents house - their dining room chandelier and their Christmas tree. I love how the crystals gave off all the different colors!

I absolutely did not take this nor do I know who did. But my brother sent it to me in an email and it made me laugh my head off. Thought this might be an appropriate place to share!

More Christmas tree explorations... I'm practicing in manual. =)

And also a shot of the cute, sweet draft horses that pulled a really fun hay ride at our town's annual tree-lighting ceremony!! Loved the classic jingle bells.

And these lovely little girls made it INTO THE PAPER!!! I emailed the pic to the publisher. Guess he liked it!! My first picture ever published!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, besides on the blog. It looks rather blurry on here, but I think most pics do...

By the way, disregard the titles of the pics... I dated them wrong!

Gorgeous Angie!
Hannah, I love the angles on your photos! (And I chuckled when I saw your snowflake photos. LOL I swear, neither DD nor I saw your photo before we posted this one. Great minds think alike I guess. )

Awesome! Any idea who it was and when? This year? Last year? Let me know if you find out where it was. I thought it was pretty funny! (And a whole lot less work than the neighbor!)

Haha, that snowflake ornament has always been one of my favorites! Joann's after Christmas sale, I believe. (though you never know... I get so many ornaments, for all I know this one came from who knows where!)

I love Christmas! Here are a couple of pictures that I took this weekend. One is of my Christmas lights and the other is an ornament that is on our tree. I wasn't for sure if I like the one of the lights but, I decided to post anyways.

Here are a couple more as well.

The first one is of Joy. (She is the mascot for our women's ministry). She has been lots of places and had her picture taken. LOL! She is wearing a toboggan that my Mamaw made for her. We used the picture for invitations to a breakfast with Santa.

And the last one is of the of my cat, Sly...He loves to lay under the Christmas tree!

Very pretty Becca! I love the light one!

i'm going to a mini-clinic (class) on low light Christmas Photos and how to take pictures of those. I can't wait! I've never been able to take good shots of those so I'm excited! You all do fabulous jobs though!

Becca - i really like the light one, lovely ornament pic and Joy is a hoot....but the pic of Sly is adorable, he looks so comfy sleeping there. This is the first Christmas I will spend without my Dutchess and our tree seems so incomplete without her laying under it

Sharon - how exciting! can't wait to see some of the results!

Thanks! We've had a lot of fun with Joy. I'm really glad my light picture turned out as good as it did. We had our first snowfall of the season last saturday and I went out and took some pictures of my lights with snow on them. I need to try and post a couple of them.

I couldn't even imagine Christmas with Sly! When I come home from work he meets me at the door and then he heads straight for the tree.

I'm afraid our tree won't be going up for at least another week.
But - I thought the low strong winter sun sparkling and shining off a building and reflecting onto the river is still a very winter scene...
p.s. - this was taken about quarter past nine in the morning, on the way to work.

But I love all the lights and sparkle on display in this thread - one of the things I love about Christmas.

Cool perspective in that shot, Sara, with the tall glasses in the foreground.

Cletracloversgirl, Gorgeous! I'm not sure what sparkles more, your dress, or the smile on your face. I can tell what a happy bride you are!

A play on the word "sparkle". Taking pics for our Christmas card this year is our tree and my daughters being silly and my youngest falling OFF her sisters! I see the sparkle in their eyes and smiles

Here's is mine - not exactly Christmas related either. I recently got into fashion doll photography, and I got a new doll yesterday - a Barbie designed by shoe designer Christian Louboutin. She comes with 4 reproductions of Louboutin shoes, and she is unusual in that she is the first Barbie to have this facepaint (and I think it's a new mold too.) She comes in a black catsuit and the backstory is that she had a dream that she and Louboutin were breaking into a museum or something to steal jewelry. So I set up this scene where she is hanging upside down from the rooftop, stealing a necklace, and avoiding the security laser sensors. Also, there are two of the more "shinier" photos.

If you would like to see the rest of my doll photos, feel free to check out my Barbie gallery:

Those are beautiful Christmas lights. Our neighbors don't put up many lights.
